[installation-issues] [Issue 107786] Installation fails on rpm -based Systems

This occurs, if you like to install the RC while the original distro installation of Fedora 12 is present: $ sudo rpm -ivh *.x86_64.rpm Vorbereiten... ### [100%] Paket openoffice.org-ure-1:3.1.1-19.22.fc12.x86_64 (welches neuer als openoffice.org-ure-1.6.0- 9472.x86_64 ist) ist bereits installiert Any package name begins with openoffice.org3, e.g. openoffice.org3-writer-3.2.0-9472.x86_64.rpm and allows a parallel installation to the distro packages. openoffice.org-ure-1.6.0-9472.x86_64 is missing the 3 and this causes the conflicts. Regarding this, adding the 3 to this package too would solve the issue and allow two working OpenOffice.org installations, since the vanilla version is installed in /opt. Another way to work around this issue would be to provide the package as version 3.2.0 instead of 1.6.0, but this one may not be the best solution. I think this issue may be concerned to the reported one and maybe would solve that for any other RPM based distribution too. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 106008] The page configuration di alog shows wrong measurements for DIN norms in German translation
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=106008 Issue #|106008 Summary|The page configuration dialog shows wrong measurements | for DIN norms in German translation Component|Word processor Version|OOO320m2 Platform|Opteron/x86_64 URL| OS/Version|Linux Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|DEFECT Priority|P3 Subcomponent|printing Assigned to|writerneedsconfirm Reported by|dmaphy --- Additional comments from dma...@openoffice.org Sun Oct 18 17:54:50 + 2009 --- How to reproduce: Start writer, calc or impress. Go to Format-Page. The Page dialog opens and you can set different DIN norms for the page size, A3, A4, A5 and so on. The sizes are not correct, e.g. A5 is shown there as 29,70cm x 42cm. This is obviously to large. There seems to be something confused in the German translation, the English version (starting 'LANG=C oowriter') shows another order of A3, A4 and A5, there the sizes are correct. We could reproduce this also with OOo 3.1.1 OOO310m19 (Build 9420) on Fedora, but others having vanilla installations of OOo could reproduce this with 320m2 yet. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
