[gsl-issues] [Issue 113562] Landscape paper is printed portrait
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=113562 --- Additional comments from jo...@openoffice.org Mon Feb 7 22:21:51 + 2011 --- Why do we have the possibility to make "user-defined" paper-sizes, if all such paper-sizes are converted to the printer-driver sizes as A4 and Letter when the page is printed? Then better to skip the whole option of "user-defined" paper-sizes. I must print cheques that are 21,0 cm wide and 10,2 cm high. And that went well with till OOo 3.2.1 with my HP Laserjet 1150, but not anymore with the new version 3.3. This is a decrease in what can be done with OOo. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 88102] Regex pattern for paragrap h malfunction

Now only the first option is possible not from paragraph-end (enter) to line-end (shift-enter). As written in this issue (88102) it is not possible to use the paragraph-end $ in a search string with other strings (i.e. words) before _and_ after the paragraph-end. It is still not possible to search and replace with page-end (ctrl-enter). Other wordprocessor programs do have these possibilities (one of the reasons that I still have an old copy of such a program on one of my computers ! - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I am so amazed that in all those years nobody else reported this problem, since it is the first thing one will do to get neat addresslabels. Or is hardly anyone using the label making procedures in OOo-Writer (as one wrote on a list, they all digg up an old Word version on their computer) because it is so user unfriendly. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I miss for instance how to add an extra page of labels to the single sheet that is made with file > new > labels. That is often necessary when labels are filled individualy and not by a merge with a database. Make sure that non-printable characters are visible. These markers (ΒΆ)can hardly be seen when the labelsheet has no margins. Put the cursor before the paragraph marker that is right of the last (bottom right) label. Press ctrl-enter, or Insert > new page, to make a new page. Copy all labels on the first page (ctrl-a, ctrl-c) to the second page (ctrl-v). Second I miss: How to make that the text on a label is centered vertically. That is only possible when first a frame for the text is made and that can be centered. Maybe it is good to emphasize that labels themselves are frames (and not like in Word) table cells. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I have the same problem when making labels Avery J8160 (= Herma 8632). The sizes (H:63.5mm, W:38.1mm, Topmargin:15.2mm) are correct in OOo writer (2.3 and 2.1 windows and 2.0 linux), but when the document is made, there is no(!) bottom margin (which should also be 15 mm). The total page height is not 297mm but less. Today 28 november 2007 I see that the issue is not reopend (I don't know how to do that), that my text is in the description list, but not in the issue activity. I also cannot add my username to the CC-list. So I make this new issue in the hope that an "official" will reopen and add my notes to issue 64184. I want to add: Someone of the Dutch list pointed out to me that if the pagesize is checked (right click>page) then it shows that the page is not A4, but adjusted(?, in Dutch: Aangepast) to W:20,57 and H:28,23. This makes that the bottom lines of the bottom labels are not printed. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. So when extra data are written on the place where the datapilot formerly was, a new datapilot will always go over the new data and it is not possible to put it on another place with the options button.
