Testing OpenOffice.org 3.3 RC8 on Windows XP SP3:

Saving to .ods, padding is kept,
Saving to 97/2000/XP .xls -- padding is lost.

Microsoft Excel 2000 seems not to have such an option for text alignment in
the cell as padding. It might be possible to export the testcase as Align
left(ident) and some ident value.

Does Excel in the MS Office XP and 97 supports it?

Testing OO.Org 3.3 RC8 on Windows XP SP3:

No crash with provided document steps to reproduce the crash.
If formulas are pasted in long range OO.org takes quite a while to fill
it...
maybe there could be some indicator for this (but that would be a request for
enhancement not a defect).

I suppose the subcomponent may be UI and also, imo, priority should be
considered
as P2 Crashs or freezes during normal operations of the application.

Recently checked the RC8 -- situation is the same. Affected software part is the
Lithuanian Language pack (I do not know how this happened, as normally, I
expected, there should be no modifications to UI except there may be
untranslated parts). Checked Arabian, EN_US, EN_GB, some other -- all of it has
a proper printing dialog in Calc. I suppose the component and subcomponent
should be changed to something more related to internationalization issue.
   Grace!
P.S. Could someone check if this cross-platform/cross-OS issue. The way to find
it is:
  1) Install Lithuanian language pack for Your platform/OS
  2) Change interface language to Lithuanian (Tools-Options...-Language
Settings-Languages-User Interface (Choose Lithuanian from the pull-down list).
  3) Close OO
  4) Open Calc
  5) Choose File-Print... (in lithuanian it is Spausdinti...) -- there is a
printer icon and a word with ... to find it in all languages in menu.

If You see the picture I attached as dialog.PNG -- You see the bug :) If it is
as the second attachment (though with different wording), then there is no bug
in Your case.

I've recently installed En-us Build, it has dialogs as You posted (workable
build). Anyway, i do not know if there will not be any dialog parity in final
version between En-US an localized Lt-LT. Grace.

Using OpenOffice.Org 3.3RC7 on Windows XP SP3:

In calc it is impossible to define print range (which pages to print), as
the
dialog does not have fields to enter data needed. Writer Print dialog allows to
make such thing. I think this should issue *should block* releasing OO3.3 as it
is the feature which is needed everyday and it is a big regression comparing to
the current stable version.

   Cheers!

Possible workarround : defining print ranges (complicated).

P.S. I do not know which component it should be assigned -- UI or printing :)

Confirmed here with O.O.org 3.3RC7 on Windows XP.

I suppose three is enough to move this bug to NEW.
It is a data loss unless you export data to some other format. This is strange
--
are You killing OASIS ;-)?

[sc-issues] [Issue 69524] Calc - data loss when drag dropping file to Calc

Using OOo3.0 beta/2.4.1 GoOO DevBuild on Windows 2000 Professional SP4.

I've just jumped on this one recently.

It is, my opinion, an P2 issue, becouse:
  1) it affects many users (not only using windows XP, as originally
reported);
  2) it is really easy reproducable;
  3) May couse a serious data loss (I have to recover one my document by
gathering data from the paper ones, and It will take for me at least 30-60 min
to do so. And the data, that was only on the spreadsheet is lost forever).

Expected Calc behaviour (from user's perspective):
Dragging and dropping a document on an open window should either:
  1) open the dropped document in the new window (which I was expecting OO
to do, when I dragged it form windows explorer to a Calc SpreadSheet), or
  2) open the dropped document in the same window, allowing to save the one
You worked before, if it is modified).

   Blessed resolving of this issue.
