I use the autosave options:

- Save autorecovery information every 10 minutes.

- Always create backup copy (I use this because I was burnt several times!)

Here are three features associated with the automatic save feature. Perhaps
these are inter-related:

1) Sometimes the restore after a crash is more up-to-date than the latest
backup. This seems normal.

2) Sometimes the restore after a crash is less up-to-date than the latest
backup. I don't understand how this can possibly happen. I immediately open the
backup before it can be overwritten by the next scheduled autosave.

3) Today, the restore was about three hours old. This is despite the fact that I
could see the save progress bar every 10 minutes. When I went to the Backup
directory, the latest backup was from yesterday.

I can live with the first two of these situations. The third is very annoying. I
believe that the third situation must be due to the fact that the backup file
was incorrectly deleted during the crash. If this is the case, I suggest that
the backup file should only ever be overwritten by another backup. It should
never be deleted, not even just before shutdown. This means that on the next
startup, a backup file aleady exists from the previous session.
