I was trying to debug this for hours until I stumbled across this post. Thanks, loadDataWithBaseURL works. Is that intended functionality in loadData? It should definitely be documented if so, very annoying. Use WebView.loadDataWithBaseURL, use dummy for the base URL if your HTML is locally generated. WebView.loadData, for some bizarre reason, munges the entire HTML document into a URL using the data: scheme. The url encoded clobbers %'s and #'s.
