Yeah pratap! guessed so. You dont have exclusive channel by channel mixing, 
surround sound has channel overlaps. Do please send across the Punjabi rap and 
electro beats that come during the bike chase scene etc. Some BGMs rocked, but 
i did not have the courage to watch the film again. It was just plain dull dud!

out of a CD/lossless or some R5 print/rip with AC3 in 5.1? Nonetheless useful 
ones.

19.The first film by rahman is "Roja".But this is not true. His first film was 
"Yodha".This film starred Mohanlal in malayalam..

Dude. Lot of leaks man!, its 75% A capellas in most places Did you extract it 
out of a CD/lossless or some R5 print/rip with AC3 in 5.1? Nonetheless useful 
ones.

AR Rahman Performs For Obama And Manmohan Singh

The Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh is on an official trip to
Washington and met U.S. President Barrack Obama which had turned out to
be a successful meet. After this meet, a State Dinner had been arranged
for Manmohan at the White House.

Delightful news is the widely
popular AR Rahman after his double Oscars will perform live at the
venue along with Jennifer Hudson to entertain the guests. Some of his
best numbers would be crooned while White House sources say Obama is
excited to see the musician in person after he heard much about his
feat in the recent past.

First Lady Michelle Obama made the
announcement at the Dinner festivity and the videos of their
performance will be released later, it is said. Along with AR Rahman
and Hudson, many other prominent celebrities will share the dais on the
day including Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen, Pulitzer Prize winner Jhumpa

[arr] SACDs of Rahman..why not?

I wonder why theres no special edition released on SACD format of select Rahman 
tracks on surround sound SACD format. I mean won't it make a great tribute post 
the oscars. I know there are few takers of SACD, but the best part is that SACD 
being a dual layer disc plays in standard audio CD as well. But the surround 
sound SACD layer takes over when compatible player is used.
I bought perhaps the only title available in SACD in hyderabad of a country 
music artist and boy oh boy, does it sound good or what?
I hope someone on Sony or T-series ( since they seem to be experimenting with 
SD cards etc) will consider this.

bridges with the East is high on the agenda of America and President
Obama has gone all out to make his first state dinner a memorable one.
The all-star lineup for at the White House included the Oscar-winning
Tamil superstar musician A.R. Rahman as a headliner. 

AR Rahman who uttered the words "Ella pugazhum iraivanukke" (All glory
to God alone), to the amazement and thrill of Tamils all over the world
who has already shared a table with First Lady, Michelle Obama, at the
TIME magazine Top 100 world influencer list, has now had an opportunity
to perform at the most famous home in the world, The White House, in
Washington DC.

Mrs Obama shares her enthusiasm for the entertainment which graced the
special night: "So who do we have tonight? We've got someone you guys
probably know a lot about: Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson is going to
sing tonight - yay! But also have A.R. Rahman. He's also an Oscar
winner and he helped create some of the music for the film "Slumdog
Millionaire." I don't know if you guys got to see that movie -
incredible movie. We're also going to have Grammy-nominated jazz
vocalist Kurt Elling, who's a Chicago hometown guy and we're pleased to
have him. And we're also going to have the National Symphony Orchestra
under the direction of Marvin Hamlisch, who's one of the greatest
composers in this country." 

Also conveyed by Michelle is President Obama's strong and well known
respect for India: "Back when the President was a senator, he kept a
picture of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of India, in his office. And it
was before he was a senator, he was always a big supporter and admirer
of Gandhi, because Gandhi inspired so many people - in India and all
around the world -- with his example of dignity and tolerance and
peace. And with a simple call, Gandhi would say: To be the change we
wish to see in the world - we are that change. We are that change."

The dinner for Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was held in a tent
on the White House South Lawn. High profile  guests dined at tables for
10 with apple-green linens. Deep purple flowers (the colour of the rare
lotus flowers, that Thamarai is named after, which happens to be
India's national flower), are meant to evoke the state bird of India,
the beautiful peacock.

Also in attendance were well known Asian celebraities and dignitaries,
like writer Jhumpa Lahiri, actor Kal Penn, Rajiv Chandrasekaran,
National editor of The Washington Post with his wife, Julie, director
Manoj 'Night' Shyamalan and his wife Bhavna, popular writer, Dr Deepak
Chopra, Ms. Srinija Srinivasan of Yahoo, Mr. Ratan Tata of Tata Steel,
Ambassador of the Embassy of Belize, Vinai Thummalapally, historian, Dr

State Dinner Will Highlight American and Indian Musicians

Tuesday night, at their first state dinner, President Obama and his wife, 
Michelle, plan to wow India’s prime minister with a mélange of musical 
entertainment, presenting musicians and singers that represent a rich sampling 
of American (and Indian) genres.

On tap for this evening: the National Symphony Orchestra; Jennifer Hudson, the 
singer and Academy-Award-winning actress; Kurt Elling, the jazz musician from 
Chicago; and A. R. Rahman, the Indian composer who wrote the score to the movie 
“Slumdog Millionaire.”

The guests – about 350 to 400 – will savor the hottest event in Washington’s 
social calendar in a big tent on the White House’s south lawn, according to 
people familiar with the planning. More details will be released later in the 
day, including the guest list and the menu (which will be prepared with the 
help of a guest chef, Marcus Samuelsson of Aquavit in New York.)

Mr. Obama got the big day started at a ceremony in the East Room Tuesday 
morning where he welcomed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India to the White 
House before a crowd that included American officials and members of Congress, 
Indian dignitaries and executives, and students from local schools.

“As the world’s largest democracies, we can keep faith with our common values — 
speaking out and standing up for the rights and dignity to which all human 
beings are entitled; and showing that nations that respect the rights and 
aspirations of their people are ultimately more stable, more secure and more 
successful,’’ Mr. Obama said.

Thank you all for visiting and for your kind words.

I designed this website a while ago to highlight the song's vocal, lyrical and 
compositional depths.  I'm not well-versed in Hindi, so it was only with help 
from friends that I was able to translate the poetry.  I fear that the poetic 
sense may have been lost in translation, but hopefully the meaning has been 
conveyed and that the music itself makes up for any flaws of my doing.

All your wonderful comments have inspired me to complete my next project, which 
will showcase several more of Rahman's overlooked compositions.
