Hi everybody, saw both Raavan & Raavanan. Liked Raavanan better but that doesnt take away from Raavan. of all the reviews the one by HT seems almost like a sabotage. Just put a message to Mayank Shekhar, National Cultural Editor of Hindustan Times sayin he should watch the tamilzh one as well being the National editor, after all his paper has been Raavan-bashin! My facebook Update has him tagged and coaxes him to watch Raavanan n review it. almost every newspaper worth its money has been coverin our boss's visit to Mumbai. arr was here to launch d album Fluid by Navin. also present at d event were SEL. some newspapers statd dat he has his hands full with Akbar-Jodha n London Dreams and is takin his time to do justice to 'em. they reportd dat d music for Guru is over and wen asked if ppl culd expect another Bombay? out boss in his humble way said "i dont kno wat to xpect but ppl can atleat expect sumthin" one paper also statd dat each and every MD worth his salt was in awe of ARR.even HR said he wuld sing only for ARR. wen asked abt dis, our boss said " it feels embarassin and i just hope they learn right things from me" also present at Rock Bottom was Bharatbala and statd dat d video for ARR's new album with humanity as its theme "prayer for me brother" will b directed by Bharatbala and will b out by june-july. i think many of the film makers dont give the true credit to THE Genius's music(except Ratnam n Shankar) i mean look at Bose-forgotten, the music is simply AWESOME!! but it was not promoted well. even this english song in Kisna, it was also not promoted unlike RDB title song n paathshaala n Roobaro the other more melodic songs like tu bin bataye n khoon chaala n lukka chuppi werent given too much of exposure. there was also one hindi movie in which ARR shared credits with Himmesh Reshamiya it starred Salman n bhumika, nobody even took notice of the music inspite of being melodic. isnt d ILamai.. from GF similar to ale ale.. from 1 2 Ka 4. again Theeyilviyunda.. is similar from mera yaar mila de.. from Sathiyaa the inisai (REMIX) could have done without the tarzan style yee.. bcos d original INISAI is AWESOME but as an ARR fan i would have loved if it could have been longer. but then d beats in d Inisai(remix)are GR8!! is it necessary dat a remix needs extra beats? would have loved an Inisai with mild instrumentation like Thulivarum katre.. from Rhythm. NARESH is a good find. all in all ARR has experimented and the end result is great!! i know ppl will contradict dis but i would welcome a debate!!
