[arr] Concept of releasing thru Mobile phones..
We all know that ARR has got Contracts/Deal with Nokia. But using ARR for selling their mobile phones is a crap idea. I am not sure how AR has fallen into this trap !! How many people do you think will buy a new Mobile to hear Connections?? 40-50 from this group. Rest ??? Within a day or two after its release, all songs in MP3 format will be flooding the Internet..and then piracy will start. By the time the Original CD releases, everyone will have their own pirated copy This is a crap idea of releasing songs thru a mobile phone.. Folks near AR - Please tell him not to get bogged down by these contracts and sponsors, as there is a huge following for him to buy Original CD's/ Cassettes and hear them in a proper system. True. Recently I heard from some authentic source, that especially after the mp3 revolution, the music companies nowadays don't take a risk to print more than a few thousand copies (CDs/Cassettes etc). I myself always download MP3s from web. When I can get the original CD I'll surely but it. I have no choice because in Malaysia (where I live), the release date is different. Especially Hindi songs and Albums (Tamil albums are easily available). Even now, I'm listening to Slumdog Millionaire which was downloaded from web. When it releases, I'll BUY it. I too agree with Gopal for that. I mean whenever I buy a Audion CD or DVD, my friends always discourage me from buying. But no one can stop me though. The same way I do not know how many are falling into the trap of MP3. And for the few CDs that they print they keep increasing the prices which decreases the number of people actually buying them. Its a vicious circle.
