Sorry but this is a wrong information. Swanand Kirkire isn't doing the
lyrics. He did only the dialogs in Hindi. This news is direct from Swanand
Kirkire himself.

Thanks.

Let's not go overboard, ARR is a great composer but he is still a
human being.

Swanand Kirkire (Parineeta, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Eklavya) is
penning Sivaji in Hindi. I love his sense of wordplay, both delightful
(Ek Theeki Theeki Si and Hum To Aise Hain from LCMD), and sombre
(Laaga Chunari Mein Daag from LCMD, and Raak Akeli Hain from
Parineeta). So pretty high hopes there. He did say in some interview
that he's trying to grasp the intent of the Tamil lyrics and then
convey it in Hindi. And as the songs are apparently being reshot,
lip-sync may not be an issue.

As for Ujjayini (or is it Ujjaini), I am still trying to ascertain
whether she's the SRGMP Challenge 2005 finalist and Ek Main Aur Ek Tu
winner. If so, yes, it's fantastic he's milking the shows cos they do
throw up some outstanding talent, tv network's polling shenanigans
notwithstanding!

"Honestly I do not have any expectations of Rahman. I'm a devotee of
Rahman, and take whatever he has to offer, as a boon."

Kaissiom, I couldn't agree more. Rahman's music to me is like prasad,
every second being pure nectar. Yes, perhaps that doesn't qualify me
to be a critic of his music, but hey, I would take someone who's been
unfailingly bestowing boons for 15 years over any darned critic.

Very well said, Wasim about the expectations. I agree with you.

I also hope they have good lyrics for hindi and think it's ujjaiynee only.
