Re: Retro Arch on Raspberry Pi Lakka, Batocera, Recalbox, and RetroPie all have graphical user interfaces for launching your ROMs (in Lakka's case, it uses a version of RetroArch's interface, while Batocera, Recalbox, and RetroPie all use a version of EmulationStation that has been preconfigured by the respective authors of those packages).Although Raspbian is the underlying OS that sits on top of those launchers, there is no accessibility out of the box.In RetroPie's case, you can use SSH, but keep in mind you have to enable it first since it isn't enabled out of the box. While supposedly Batocera and Recalbox have SSH support, I haven't tried those out since I only have experience with using RetroPie. Re: Retro Arch on Raspberry Pi Apparently you’re supposed to connect a controller to it and you can move around menus and select ROMs and stuff like that just buy using it like you would use a regular game console. As far as the accessibility goes though, I’m not sure if there is any. I just learned that I need to get a micro HDMI cable for my pie, so I will have to do that and then get cited assistance to help me go through the menus. If there is accessibility on it, I will definitely let you guys know how that goes. Re: Retro Arch on Raspberry Pi I'm pretty sure the idea here is that you control it via SSH. I can only assume that these dystroes have no desktop environments, or at least minimal ones. Re: Retro Arch on Raspberry Pi Ah, thank you. Do any of those Pi distributions (Lakka, retro pi, etc.) have built-in accessibility? Re: Retro Arch on Raspberry Pi Technically speaking, RetroArch itself can be installed on the Pi. In this case, you'd use Lakka (http://www.lakka.tv/), a lightweight distribution based around RetroArch).RetroArch is also used on Batocera, Recalbox, and RetroPie, which are software packages that are used to turn the Pi into a dedicated machine (in these cases, RetroArch is used for launching some of the emulators included). Re: Retro Arch on Raspberry Pi *Cue me slapping myself in the head for thinking that Retro Arch was it's own OS when being installed on the Pi* Haha my bad. I feel stupid.
