Hey hey to the general developers and the awesome mod team!I got two general questions and i hope that they are not too much off topic!I am playing this soundRTS for a little wile and two idears came in my mind.First: Would it be possible to create something like a key for seeing the way a unit would take to travel to an destination? With this you could see if the unit will encounter dangerous places you allready know.My second idear is to use the 1 2 3 and so on keys to produce units when you have selected a building. Maybe this would make the handling a little bit faster and easier.Thank you again for this realy great mod! HAHA and sorry for my sometime bad english!

Hi SoundMUDYeah sometimes units taking strange ways to there targets. Maybe it would be possible to create different movingorders. Something like move only through known squares or avoid squares with fog or try to go exactly to the targetsquare avoyding enemy squares. Something like that.Again to the second point. I think you missunderstood me.For example if you select the robotfactory cause you want to build a plasma cannon. you have to press a lot of A's to get there. I think it would be better if you could select the different unitsto produce by the numberkeys. HAHA, i hope it is now clear what i mean.

Oh and i have a nother idear. Have you thought about bringing in a scouting-order? Sometimes its pretty anoying to find for example the last farm of your enemy. Maybe it would be good if you could give something like a scout-order and the unit will try to walk trough all the squares of the map. Maybe an idear for a special unit wich can do this.

@SoundMUD:1: Maybe it would be possible to change the movingbehaviour of the units with the offensiv and the defensive mode. In defensive they could try to avoyd known enemy locations. In offensive they would try to make there way through every danger.2: Another way could be to build in something like a key for repeating the last order or the last command. Hope you know what i mean. Maybe this "repeat last order" key could be good for moving different groups to a specific place or produce more units of the same type a little faster.3: Yeah i think, this autoexploringmode would be good only for some kind of units. Maybe a groupautoexploring would make the game a little bit too easy. But maybe you should try it. I am not sure about it. But as i said in the beginning. Sometimes its very anoying to find the last pices of a almost killed enemy.4: I got a nother question. Have you thought about the possibility to send units into a building? For example,
  send your archers into your keep to defend it? I realy mean into your keep not only to your keep! The archers would be more save and the keep could be better defended against enemy troops. A nother interesting thing could be to send a mage into a tower to increase his attackingrange and if you send him into the magetower he could gain more mana.

@Pragma: Aaah, thank you! Alt-a is also working. But with this you have to select the building first. Sometimes Alt-g doesnt work and you have to press enter after pressing alt-g. But usefull it is allready.Your Idears of different status-effects is very very interesting. I had another idear about this. Esspecialy for the Elements. Have you thought about to bring in some requirements for the towers? For example watertowers can only be build on squares with bridges cause there is water too? And airtowers only on squares with existing forests? You know, trees produce air. Something like this. Hope you get my point.

Hi Vladaar!First of all thank you for doing so much in this soundpack developing! Maybe it will become as amazing like alter aeon someday. I am still having problems getting this soundpack to work but i keep trying!:-) Maybe it would be good if you would put a guide-file in the archive. Or build something like a portable Mushclient-version with a allready configured worldfile and the plugins. I am sure many would enjoy this. Oh and put a changelog with a Versionnumber in the package too. I hope you will continue your good work! You are on the wright way to a next nice great Audio-rpg!

Oh and i remembered another thing. You told that you are working with linux and thats making it a little bit difficult to deal with windows clients. Have you tryed to emulate windows? I think there are some little emulators for that so you maybe can try this windows stuff a little better.

Maybe my realy favorite release of all time here!Yes, you count out the main problems we have here.I will try to give you some ideas for one or two of your points.1:My planets all have numeric names. one two three and so on.That helps a lot to keep them all in mind.I try to set every new colony to governormode so i have to check them only in cases of a special need or special event.Fleets are mostly not so very important. Yes, there is a point where you have to check if an enemy fleet is on its way to your planets, but in many cases you can check them with v and its filters.But yes, you are wright, it is a lot of work and i would love to have an eventnotification if something like this happens.2&3: Have you tryed to play around with the contextmenu of the console by pressing alt-space? You can set up the amount of lines and its length. I had some trouble with this cause it themes that changes are often not affecting anything.Yeah, thats strange.A log file would be a interesting and nice idea.4: Not at the moment but Zkline allready has something in mind to make the output a little easier.I am so glad someone here like the game the same i do!So: May your empire grow!

HAHAHA, yes, the groundconquering breaks the system, hahahaha.We allready talked about a renaming-feature and a command to switch between your own colonys.I only played the humans and the silicoids so far. But i like both races and i think i will like the other races too for their individual style.With humans you can mostly stay out of trouble. Thats realy nice to build good relationships to nearly all other players. And you will have no trouble to keep your self out of any fighting stuff.And i love the silicoids for their ability to land on nearly every atmospher so you can spread out very fast in a short time.

Thats not completely true.The demos real installation path is c:\Otter Insanity"\windows\.." means to go one folder back.The demo is working totaly correctly on my side. But i have no one to test the game itself.After startup you have to press f3 to turn on accessibility and maybe f4 to turn off all graphics.

V highly depends on your scanner-technology and your explored map. The fleet-filter for v is f and you should use it together with the o-filter for displaying only your oponent fleets. So the syntax is:v foIf you want to check general distance to your controled space you could set a value after fo to see only a specific distance.v fo 3Will show you all whats happening 3 parsecs arround.If you want to see everything happening in range of one of your planets the syntax is:v fo +3Of course you have to select the concerned colony first by g-command.Feel free to ask if i was to stupid with my explanations.

The waypoint-screen tells me that there is a waypoint 2,7 KM to the north.I pressed NVDA space and three or four times the up arrow to move a little to the north. But the waypoint-screen still telling me the same about 2,7KM. And the history window says nothing about anything blocking my way.So how do you manage to get to the next settlement?

I think, a square is 0,1 KM.I found the first waypoint and got me some quests and a little reward. But i am still a bit lost. Absolutely no plan what to do in this open world. I saw some gorillas, but i am not sure if i should try to kill them.HAHA, oh and i harvested some birch seeds. No plan if they are good for anything, haha.

@Dark: Thanks for your nice small tutorial!It helped a lot.But i am not sure if i will stick with this game cause of its clunky controlling behaviour for us.For example, i am stuck a little in a fight which i cant win. And fleeing is realy painful to master. A lot of keypressing and a huge time to check the history window.I think i will retire this first character and check out if there are new classes available.Unfortunately there is no manual for this game at all. The helpscreen only covers the basics.I will wait if the developer will answer the requests.Oh, and one last thought for now:@Dark: Maybe there is a special class ability to help you with all this tracking and quest tracking?

Can i still find him or is he gone now?The history only telling me that i am not targeting him anymore.And there is nothing specific in the quest-screen about the quest.And yes, I'm afraid something must have really happened to the developer.

I am using the downloadversion on a win10system and the voice-command doesnt say anything.Not a big problem for me cause i dont like espeak and most of all other tts so much.There are things like the distance notifications and the directions stuff which are much more important for us.I realy hope we can welcome the developer here soon!

A realy realy helpful command is "moveto" cause it saves a lot of manual stumbling.Where can you see your buffs?I had a nice orange-dinner. But i dont know if it raises something.Oh, and i dont think killing or butchering or crafting will give you any progress in raising your char, wright?So its all about gear and food.

Wow wow! Thats a damn cool thing!And here comes the first stupid questions.I sended one ship to the next available planet for colonisation. But i got no message if i want to create a colony. After i sended all of my ships to the planet, i finaly got the Message to colonize the planet. So, do i have to send a special ship to form a colony?And, how can i check which types of ships i got. The fleet-command is a little tricky to understand.Is it possible to filter the results or can i change the output to another display-type?One little note for all of us:capitalization is important in this game.

Is there a helpfile or a website where i can get some more examples for the different commands? The ingamehelp is sometimes a little bit meager. For example i dont know how to build new colony ships or how i have to use the research-commands.

Hi Zkline!I had a very desastrous event,, HAHA! The evil space amoeba came to visit the galaxy and destroyed some of my colonys. I had trouble to find it.So, can you somehow check the position of this bastard with the V-command or can you reach this evil beeing with the FS-Command?Oh damn! I've built ships! Maybe i should have builded up my planetary defense systems! HAHA! Oh, this is so much fun!Dark and Aron. Ooooh, you realy have to try it! The bugs are realy not so significant.What i dont like, is the system of saving the game and i think the galaxy-maps are prefabricated. I would like more procedural generated maps.

@Milos: As he said, you need OCR. And i think you will need a certain mod for the controls.The only problem i see with Stellaris is, that there is no playable demo for this and the game costs 40 Euros. Thats pretty much for a game you cant test before you buy it.

Yeah, i found out to do it by using the Numbers. But the other way i like more.Does the numbers mean anything? I mean, can i allways fly from 10 to 11 and so on, or can 11 be far away from 10?By the way: Could you explain in more simpler words than the manual how researchpoints are arise and where i can find my money?Oh, and how to upgrade a missile base.The manual dont explain the command-syntax.

Thanks! I had something strange. I tryed to sabotage something and got the message to choose the target. But there were no options. no 1 no 2 no 3 and so on. The screen was empty after the request.

Aaaah, thanks! Damn! I never check if there are special character somewhere. That helped a lot! The same with the slider-lock.And thanks for the tip to the governor-discription too.I am curious. Is it totaly impossible for this version to implement general sound support?I saw that you can alter a lot of soundfiles on your own. Some of us here would love to play arround with this i think. And the battle-sequences would be realy suitable for it.I had an interesting big game today on a huge galaxymap with 5 oponents and i was a little bit disappointed about the reportings. There are no reports of the war gradients of the other empires.I really would have liked that, because the whole game is kind of a head cinema for me, haha.

Thats for the english version of win7 i guess:-)Maybe i encountered a strange thing. Maybe it is a bug or a savegamecrash.on one of my worlds the eco slider is permanently on 100% and it is still vaste i think. If i change the slider it got set back in the next round. Governor-mode is turned off and i think there is no special note in the planetary view.Oh and please please, could you alter the b-command-behaviour? Thats realy anoying fiddly all the time!

The time for build would be nice but is not so important as the general info. So its OK for me.I dislike a little bit the fact of not given transparency for the races-advantage in the game itself but this is also OK for me.HAHA, Oh, there is so much to learn in this game.Could you explain a little about iniciating ground combat? Do you simply have to send colonyships with the appropriate atmosphere-device to an enemies colony? Or are normal colonyships sufficient?I realy like this concept!

And i think that the target planet has to be explored before you can send troups. So you need deep space scanners.Unfortunately i dont had them in my last game so i will have to try again tomorrow.But it was a very very epic and tragically dramatic spaceopera, hahaha.Oh, by the way!
