9 months is not that much time.. mplayer2-git works fine here.

[aur-general] Forgotten AUR User Login Name
Hello. I'm at a loss as to logging into the AUR. I've forgotten the user-name tied to my account. Could someone please confirm my AUR user-name at the same email registered to this mailing list?

There is already an mplayer2-git pkg in AUR that is more up to date. Anyway, it cost nothing to drop it to AUR if someone else could find it useful. Stéphane

[aur-general] Drop mplayer2 from [community]
Mplayer2 was very promising last year when they forked from the original mplayer project. One of the main goal of this project was to provide more frequent release and updates. Unfortunatly, they failled to provide something else after the initial release. This initial release no longer build with current tools/libs and contain several major bugs. A workaround was to update our pkg to a recent git snapshot. Since then, I do not see any reason to continue to update this package which is currently broken. If there is no objection, I will drop the package from [community]. Users should consider to follow mplayer2-git from AUR or the original mplayer from [extra]. Cheers, Stéphane

The links are still present in the PKGBUILDs. We still have no rules against this and I'm not sure I can invoke forum rules here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Forum_Etiquette#Legality
[aur-general] Deletion request
lib32-nvidia-utils-71xx [1] is not updated since 2007, doesn't comply with multilib (installs libs in /opt/lib32/usr/lib), orphan, flagged as out-of-date since Feb 2011 and... no one seems to complain about it. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=12008 Please delete
Re: [aur-general] warez in the AUR
Hi, While I don't really think a PKGBUILD can count as warez (and believe the subject is misleading), I agree with "the ioni-solution" of not linking directly to copyrighted content in the "source" array. Adopting, modifying and disowning the four packages in question. -- Best regards, Alexander Rødseth Arch Linux Trusted User (xyproto on IRC, trontonic on AUR)

Hello I was supposed to bring intel-tbb to extra and build opencv against it. I will do that soon, so you don't have to worry about that one anymore and opencv from repos will have intel-tbb improvement. As for the others, it depends on the maintainer, the package popularity, whether it is in use as a make or optional dependency etc. -- GPG/PGP ID: C0711BF1
