Re: get render output
This works for me (in the controller): $old_output = $this-output; $this-output = ''; $this-render(ACTION, LAYOUT); $new_output = $this-output; On Jan 9, 7:40 pm, mmm min...@gmail.com wrote: hi group, i wounder how can i render content to buffer, what i have so far is: ob_start(); $this-controller-render(null, $this-layout, $view); $html_msg = ob_get_contents(); ob_end_clean(); however $this-controller-render() always prints content directly to the browser. my cakephp version is 1.2.0.7962, any ideas? thanks --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups CakePHP group. Re: get render output
what i want to do is to make Swift Component work with 1.2 http://bakery.cakephp.org/articles/view/swiftmailer-component-tutorial unfortunately requestAction() is not exactly what i need.. it has a nice feature to assign layouts to HTML emails, currently this is not working with 1.2(stable). Re: get render output
I've been modifying Wouter Verweirder's port of othman ouahbi's SwiftMailer component. I've posted my version here: http://bin.cakephp.org/view/2015386698 This is very much a work in progress. I'm pretty sure I'll be changing things but it works fine as is, so far. Note that a new Message is created by calling newMessage($subject). The biggest change, probably, is that there's a text version created automatically. That is, if 'html' is chosen, the text version is also included. Email should never go out as HTML alone unless it wants to end up in the Junk folder.
