[CentOS] Rsync Error: Centos Mirror
Hi, I have recently been receiving the following errors when using rsync to update my centos local repositories; rsync: send_files failed to open "/7/atomic/x86_64/repo/tmp/tmp.HBjcIF" (in centos): Permission denied (13) rsync: send_files failed to open "/7/atomic/x86_64/repo/tmp/tmp.SWIH0I" (in centos): Permission denied (13) I have checked and the user that runs the rsync script has all permissions to read and write into the destination folder (centos). What may be the problem? Any help is appreciated. -- *Unsub Shafiq* Inara Technologies (Pvt) Ltd. I can second the Brother printers. My original one (HL-2070N) was supported well by one of the free printer drivers already available on Linux. Warning:I'm new to CentOS and have not tested the suggestion below (with Linux). So please research if it sounds like a good idea. It may be worth trying to bypass the issue by installing VMware ESXi and setting up CentOS as a virtual machine. This will give you additional control and backup options for the system. I would go with inexpensive HP color laser printer. Laser printers can sit for long time without use, without degrading, once you need it, it will work. HP is the ones I would recommend - so far I didn't see HP printers broken, or out of supplies which are not manufactured anymore (stay away from Xerox in any event: I had to throw away several color laser Xerox printers because Xerox stopped making toners for them, and Xerox did all to thwart "aftermarket" compatible supplies). The only disadvantage of laser printer compared to ink is if you need to print high quality photographs: ink of different colors blends, whereas powder in laser printer doesn't. But all on all if you are not picky, photographs printed on laser printers look great too. Only people with special needs will be unhappy with laser and will go with ink for photographs. I hope, this helps. I have just installed CentOS 6 i386 onto an old rack server (it's gonna be a Bacula storeage server and is a 1U 1/2 depth chassis) I did a minimum netinstall and so far so good.
