I don't know how you can tell what version of JIntegra you're using with CF MX, exactly. The whole thing is stored in \CFusionMX\lib\jintegra.jar. You can run the license tool, according to the documentation, but I'm not sure exactly what that's supposed to show. When I do it like this: > set CLASSPATH=C:\CFusionMX\lib\jintegra.jar > java com.intrinsyc.license.JintegraLicenseTool view I get this: Intrinsyc Software License Tool J-Integra runtime, version: 1.5.0 (C) 2001 Intrinsyc Software Inc. http://www.in trinsyc.com/j-integra/ Checking jar file jintegra.jar... Checking jar file jintegra_reduced_logging.jar... Jar file: jintegra_reduced_logging.jar not Found! Please ensure that the jar file jintegra_reduced_logging.jar is in the same dire ctory as license file(s) Please refer to the documentation or goto http://www.intrinsyc.com for assistanc e The tool is exiting now... there may be leftover temporary files... But, I'm not sure if that means that the whole thing is version 1.5.0 or just the license tool. As for upgrading to the latest build, I'm not sure how that would happen. Within the jar, there's an XML document which contains the license information. I suspect that if you just downloaded the trial version of 1.5.3 from Intrinsyc, and put the license file in there, it wouldn't work. RE: CF MX Service Pack Timeline?
Not sure who you heard this from. As I already said, there is no scheduled service pack announced yet, and definitely no specifics as to what will be in it if/when there is one. For now, if you find problems, make sure to let us know. The decision as to whether or not to release a service pack (and when to do it) is directly related to the feedback from customers. --- Ben -Original Message- From: Nelson Winters [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, July 05, 2002 2:47 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: Re: CF MX Service Pack Timeline? I think when a bug/feature is deferred etc..it gets pegged for a "Service Pack" fix though it doesnt necessarily mean it will actually get one. RE: CF MX Service Pack Timeline?
Ben, how about bug: 45938? (select, drop, no recordset is returned) I think CFMX final release still contains this bug... I'm using as a temporary solution for this... The COM problems in particular is being looked at. If there is an SP I am sure it will address them, but there is no scheduled SP yet. --- Ben -Original Message- From: Dave Carabetta [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, July 05, 2002 1:22 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: RE: CF MX Service Pack Timeline? >Dave, > >There is no schedule for a service pack and indeed none has even been >announced. So there's no plans in the pipeline to address known issues such as poor COM performance and stuff like that? Personally, I've been using the MX developer version for quite a while now and things work great. But it's just a "comfort" thing for my boss to know that the initial slate of bugs on a new release have been formally addressed. Thanks for the info Ben. RE: CF MX Service Pack Timeline?
Dave, There is no schedule for a service pack and indeed none has even been announced. That is not to say there won't ever be one, if one is needed one will be created, but nothing at this time. You should go ahead with the upgrade, especially as CF5 and CFMX can coexist so you can test side by side (which eliminates a lot of the risk generally associated with upgrades). --- Ben -Original Message- From: Dave Carabetta [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, July 05, 2002 10:47 AM To: CF-Talk Subject: CF MX Service Pack Timeline? I know CF MX has only been out for a little over a month, but I was wondering if there was any timeline for a service pack release? The reason I ask is that we're interested in upgrading to MX, but my boss would rather wait for a service pack to fix the first round of bugs. The question's more geared towards the MM people who track this list. Thanks, Dave. __ Your ad could be here.
