RE: [cfaussie] CF can't see URL querystrings after a # locator

2014-11-25 Thread Dale Fraser
I Think

http://www.somebloodydomain.com/index.cfm##firstpart?errorMsg=invalid
<http://www.somebloodydomain.com/index.cfm##firstpart?errorMsg=invalid&clolour=red>
 &clolour=red

should be

http://www.somebloodydomain.com/index.cfm?errorMsg=invalid
<http://www.somebloodydomain.com/index.cfm?errorMsg=invalid&clolour=red##firstpart>
 &clolour=red##firstpart

Subject: [cfaussie] CF can't see URL querystrings after a # locator

I'll trying to explain with an example

If the link is this:
http://www.somebloodydomain.com/index.cfm##firstpart
Then the page will open and go to the object with the id of firstpart

If the link is this
http://www.somebloodydomain.com/index.cfm?errorMsg=invalid
<http://www.somebloodydomain.com/index.cfm?errorMsg=invalid&clolour=red>
&clolour=red
Then StructKeyExists(URL,"errorMsg") will be true

But if the link looks like this
http://www.somebloodydomain.com/index.cfm##firstpart?errorMsg=invalid
<http://www.somebloodydomain.com/index.cfm##firstpart?errorMsg=invalid&clolour=red>
 &clolour=red
then StructKeyExists(URL,"errorMsg") will be false

In other words ColdFusion does not recognise the URL querystring if it comes
after the ##firstpart

Is there a way around this?
