Re: [Chat] advice on mattresses

2011-11-28 Thread gasp107

Hi Dawna. Claire 2 months ago we bought a mattress at The Home Store. Best
price we could find. We considered all types (and there are many), but we went
with a near top of the line Serta pillowtop that was moderate firmness. We
could not be happier

Hi all: We need a new mattress. Does anyone have a Temper-Pedic mattress? If
so, do you recommend it. Where did you get it? What about a green mattress,
one with no foam, plastic, etc. If you have one where did you get it and what
do you think of it? Thanks so much! Dawna Cobb

[Chat] advice on mattress

2011-11-28 Thread macnmum
Hey Dawna: I have had a Tempur-Pedic for 15-16 years now. I have a
touchy back and I adore it. I will say that it is supposed to have a
17-year warranty and am finding that mine probably needs replacing now.
But, I'm quite heavy and that would stress any mattress unduly. I also
recently purchased a cheap knock-off version substitute the much cheaper
version for the real thing if I were using it every night.

At the time that I bought mine, they were really only available at
Brookstonemuch easier to find competitively priced now.

Re: [Chat] Electrician recommendation?

2011-11-28 Thread Eric Dymond
I had good luck with Milton Electric (410-276-3420). Same deal, upgrade
from the original 60 amp panel/service to 200 amp. I think it took two
days total. They pulled the permits, scheduled the inspection and did all
the work. It ran about $1300, but this was in 2005, so it may have gone up
since then.

Dawna, a mattress is a pretty personal choice.   I have friends who love their
Tempur- Pedic (after they got used to it) and other friends who love their
Sleep-Number bed.  I think you really need to take the time to go lie down on a
lot of different ones...Consumers Reports says to lie on each one at least
15 minutes.  That ought to narrow your choice.

I was very happy with Bill Cantanzaro at All Phaze Electric (410-646-7620) when I did my upstairs remodel. Everything on the second floor was still knob and tube. I also needed a new panel. On Nov 28, 2011, at 10:22 AM, Eric Dymond ericdym...@gmail.com wrote:I had good luck with Milton Electric (410-276-3420).
