[Chevelle-List] brake pedal problem
Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone else has had a similiar problem and can offer any possible solutions. My 72 chevelle brake pedal doesnt always come back up after being pressed, resulting in my brake lights staying on. I took the car to a shop and they made some adjustments that seemed to help, but as luck would have it the problem is back. Since this car is my daily driver-my only car, i won't be able to get it back in the shop anytime soon. Does anyone have any ideas on how i can possibly solve this problem? thank you all in advance!! chris 72 malibu clifton, NJ

[Chevelle-List] reclining bench seats?
Question: Anyone know if there are stock bench seats that recline and fit a 72 chevelle, or aftermarket or newer model seats that will fit? How about a bench seat that has the fold-down armrest? I love buckets, but benches are where its at for me! I have also heard that alot of monte carlo parts fit chevelles also, how about seats? thanks! chris 72 malibu NJ

i know this might sound really dumb to you guys, but i don't know so i gotta ask... what the heck is TBI? my first assumption is throttle body injection, not sure if this is what it is or if i made it up tho. what does it do and how do you get a better mpg with it? curious because i have just invested in a 72 malibu with a 350/4bbl and drive her daily. thanks! chris 72 malibu new jersey
[Chevelle-List] need reliable mechanic/body shop in passaic county nj
Hey everybody, my name is Chris and I am new to this list. I just picked up a 72 malibu(the last one I drove 13 years ago when I was 18!) and was hoping maybe someone here could point me in the direction of a good reliable mechanic that has experience (or simply prefers) working on our cars and is also located in the north jersey/passaic county area. I know I could take a crack at trying to fix her myself, but I would rather leave it to a professional and have the job done right the first time. I spoke briefly with Al from Garden State Chevelles and he mentioned someone in Paterson who supposedly only works on chevelles, but he didn't have the guys name or number handy. Any suggestions? I live in Clifton and I need to have a bunch of stuff taken care of right away as this is going to be my daily driver. I need exhaust work (dual with headers, I think needs new mufflers), the emergency brake doesn't engage, and the front driver-side fender needs to be replaced. Of course there are other things that need attention, but for now I just want to pass inspection and start cruising!
