Its a matter of software only. ATI always had bad drivers and even worse support for Linux. But up to Radeon 9200/9250 we have free driver. are these ones suitable ? ATI supports some OpenGL 2.0 commands but not the OpenGL 2.0 version of the shading language, which makes it a pretty worthless release. The ATI driver uses a version of the shading language called the ARB extension. The ARB extension was used before OpenGL 2.0 was finished. Someone will probably start porting Cinelerra to the ARB shading language so it at least partially runs on ATI until they finish OpenGL 2.0 support, then the ARB porting will be abandoned. Re: [CinCVS] Re: Compiling 2.1 with OpenGL 2.0
Quoting "Heroine Virtual Ltd." <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: Which libraries do I need in order to get OpenGL 2.0 to work? I am running FC5 on i386. The OpenGL libraries come with the driver for your graphics card. Currently the only graphics cards which come with OpenGL 2.0 libraries are NVidia. ok here we are, anyway Aaron is right, no opengl 2.0 are found after ./configure is that trivial? then make fails if make 0.38 is not used (i used 3.80-9 deb stable) ;) then maybe a particular mpeg4ip version is required it's getting late. any tips is wellcome Vale ___ Cinelerra mailing list Cinelerra@skolelinux.no https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra encosianima.net This message was sent using IMP, the Internet Messaging Program. ___ Cinelerra mailing list Cinelerra@skolelinux.no https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra
