hi! as some of you already know, ubuntustudio is interested in cinelerra. they asked me to mantain the package to include it on multiverse repository. one of the problems with cinelerra was licensing issues with heroine's code. well, this is no more a problem because adam willians from heroine have answered a mail with explicit permission to include licensing on every file: Yes. You have permission to add GPL's to the files. Ubuntu packages have been distributed this way for 4 years without any problem.
