Mica Modem

2000-07-10 Thread Ivan C. Permana

I would like to use AS5300 as V.110 connect server.

I have AS5300 with QUAD-E1 and Modem MICA. We have successfully create
the
isdn pri link and the modem can connect in and out into analog call
type.

The problem arise when I want the connection to be a ISDN V.110. With
IOS
C5300-is-mz.113-9.AA1.bin, the 'show ver' command would display '30
terminal lines'

but with IOS 120-4.XI1 120-5.T2, the terminal lines are gone. On 'show
logging'
command I see the 'MICA-5-UNKNMODEM : Unknown Modem Module ...'.

What did I miss ?

AS5300 Mica modem probs ?

2000-05-19 Thread Phil Barker

Problem is that users are taking 5+ attempts to log
on,
from Laptops using PCMCIA Gold cards.
Client is dial-up networking and initial speed was set
to 115200. I have subsequently found that lowering the
client speed to 57600 on the com port improves the
logon rate. However, this should only affect the speed
from the Laptop to the modem.

According to debug modem etc it was getting locked up
at the "EC Negotiation phase"

Has anyone dealt with this type of problem before ?

 2 392241 mica-modem-pw.2.7.1.0.bin (from sh
flash)
Cannot find any info for the above revision of
firmware
for the modems.

Thanx for your attention,

Phil.

Yes, there is a command to lower your 5300 side for quicker connect rate.
We had the same problem. The real issue is that the mica modems are less
tolerant of line problems than the 5200's were. So lowering the connect
rate solved our problem. We called TAC to get the correct modem string. If
you're really into troubleshooting this problem look into the far end echo
and you'll see the problem.

2001-07-20 Thread zhu kenny

I have a ce1( use e1-r2 signal) and mica modem in 3640. when I use anolog
modem dial to 3640, some types anolog modems can connect to 3640, some types
will disconnect so fast. what's the matter? If I want to use reverse telnet
to configure mica modem, it's hard to know when the next line of mica modem
will response the dial in. so I want to shutdown some mica modem, but I
cann't find out command. what should I do?
