Simple example

2003-02-02 Thread Alireza Fattahi
Hi,

The currently cocoon web application is very complex. Is there any light
weight example out there; some thing like blank web application in struts.

Alireza.

RE: Cocoon is too complex for consumption?

I think cocoon needs some thing like blank web application( if it does not
already have, I am new to Coocon:) ). There is one in Struts.

oh, but that is unfair since you are a Cocoon committer and you have
easier access to such things... not! ;-)

Standard in creatring xml files

2003-01-22 Thread Alireza Fattahi
Hi,

We want to create a web site with 40 pages. The site has typical input forms
and search/search result pages. We want to have some XSL files as the
template for these pages. Of course we should not have 40 xsl files, but 40
xml files. But, how?

Here is an example:
Suppose we have two search result pages that generate these xml files.
1)

Alireza
Fattahi

2)

IBM
10,000

We should create 2 xsl files for parsing if there are 40 files we should
create 40 file! Is it correct?

Is there any guideline that can help us creating a standard for these
typical applications? What standards should be obeyed by (for example) a
typical search result page?

Alireza

RE: IDE for cocoon

Can we run it in stand alone mode? Or as JBuilder plug-in?

Hi Reza,

sunBow is a plugin for eclipse (www.eclipse.org). It contributes some
Cocoon/XML/XSLT features to eclipse. You can find the download and
documentation here: http://radio.weblogs.com/0108489/
