[Compiz] [Bug 1141079] Re: [regression-r3606] Compiz broken with QT menus/floating controls in 13.04

2013-03-22 Thread Sam Spilsbury
@Doug: fixed by https://code.launchpad.net/~compiz-
team/compiz/compiz.fix_1158161/+merge/154882

The fix for java awoke some sleepers. Actually DecorWindow::update is
such a bloody mess, I wish we could do something about it / get it under
test.

[Compiz] [Bug 863192] Re: Compiz using large amounts of CPU when running Chrome

2013-03-22 Thread Andrew Schulman
Confirmed that this is still a problem in 12.04. It's definitely the
same as http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=98869.  When
a pinned tab starts flashing, CPU usage jumps. To bring it back down
again, you have to select the pinned tab, then select a different tab.

There's no fix yet and no option to stop pinned tabs from flashing when
their content changes. The workaround is to unpin the tabs.

[Compiz] [Bug 1158161] Re: [regression] Unmaximized windows can't be closed, minimized, moved

2013-03-22 Thread Sam Spilsbury
** Description changed:

  Revision #3635 or #3636 must have introduced a regression that causes
  the titlebar and borders to not respond to actions like minimizing,
  maximizing, closing and resizing.

  REGRESSION cause by this merge:

https://code.launchpad.net/~compiz-team/compiz/compiz.fix_1138517/+merge/152623

  How to reproduce:
  1) Open a Nautilus window.
  2) Maximize the window either by pressing the maximize button or dragging the
window up to the top
  3) Unmaximize the window either through the minimize button or dragging the
window
  4) Resizing, Closing, Moving etc fails

  However, moving the window by holding [Alt] works.
  This bug occurs even after resetting the compiz configuration.
  Tested on an Acer TimelineU M5-481TG, display resolution 1366x768.
+
+ Shadows also don't work for some reason.

[Compiz] [Bug 92599] Re: Incorrect (low/stuttering) refresh rate with NVIDIA driver

2013-03-22 Thread Michael Becker
Workaround:

Create a Script with the desired Refresh Rate and mark it as excutable
and add it to startup Programs:

 #!/bin/bash
 sleep 5 &&
dconf write /org/compiz/profiles/UnityNeu/plugins/composite/refresh-rate "60"

Now i dont have to open CCSM after every restart and got my 60hz
refresh-rate.
