ok. i've solved the mozilla prefs problem. i rebuilt and installed
gtk+-1.2.10-25mdk.src.rpm with gcc-3.1 and the prefs reappeared.

will rebuild evolution with the latest gtk+-1 when i get a chance.

Which gcc?

[Cooker] rebuilding packages with gcc-3.1

2002-06-01 Thread Roger

i rebuilt mozilla & evolution with gcc-3.1.

Although they were successful, i now have the following anomallies:

1) opening mozilla preferences (edit > prefs) shows all the preferences
"unmarked" and marking (checking the boxes as appropriate) only results
in them not being shown when the preferences are closed & reopened (ie
Advanced > Enable Jave or Apperance > Colors, etc)

2) Evolution crashes when the "attachment" button is click on an email.
(when trying to attach a file). I have already tried texstar's
1.0.5-2mdk build and I still get crashes in the same manor.

Obviously, i have a lib dep problem someplace (or something needs a
re-compiling by gcc-3.1). this bug is reproducable on 2 platforms, with
similar package installations.
