[Cooker] syntax error in rc5.d/S05harddrake
Doing an expert install from last night's cooker, I get this syntax error in /etc /rc.d/rc5.d/S05harddrake when I do an 'init 5' Syntax error near unexpected token 'stop)' Also, the default desktop is Gnome - Helix, which locked up the whole machine after I logined as a user. Going through syslog I saw the complaint about now .gnome directory existing in the user home directory. I made one manually and the next time I started the desktop it worked normally. I also saw in syslog a note about /etc/X11/gpm/Sessions/KDE having the wrong permissions. It wants it to have execute permission added for group and all. (I did this manually, too.) Finally, KDE's control panel won't let me change my mouse (a Logitec MouseMan + /PS2) to use left-handed buttons - i.e., it won't let me click on the left-handed selection. Gnome on the other hand, will let me change the mouse-handed settings in its control panel. Hope this helps! Scott Langley [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.scottlangley.com
