Looks like https://eclipse.googlesource.com is now current.

https://eclipse.googlesource.com/orion/org.eclipse.orion.client/ shows
commits from 32 hours ago.

https://eclipse.googlesource.com/intent/org.eclipse.mylyn.docs.intent.main/

shows commits from 5 hours ago. Odd that the foundation's index is
telling me its under intent/ and not mylyn, but that's what it told
me.

https://eclipse.googlesource.com/cdo/cdo/ is 4 days old.

[cross-project-issues-dev] Reminders for Juno SR2 final steps

2013-02-19 Thread David M Williams
Now that I've completed my own "final prep", thought I'd remind everyone
else.

There will be no "final confirmation that its ok to release" on Friday.
The general rule is that you should check this cross project list for a
"Wait ... don't release yet" message, but if you do not see one by 9 AM
Friday, feel free to assume that all is ok and make your sites visible,
etc. But once the EPP downloads and common repo are made visible (around 9
or 10 on Friday), I'll drop a short note here.

Here are some "final steps" that come to mind (though each project may
have others):

Make download sites and p2 repos available at final locations so they can
be mirroring, but leave "invisible" or "disconnected", so they can not be
downloaded early and swamp eclipse.org, before its time. It takes at least
overnight to have enough mirrors not to impact eclipse.org, and 2 or 3
nights for a large number of mirrors -- all the more necessary for
high-demand projects with lots of large artifacts.

This week or next, update your b3aggrcon files with your "final location"
so the Juno aggregator could in theory be ran again. We don't plan to,
but, you never know. (And, don't forget to update Kepler, if you are using
the same input for that.)

Clean up intermediate builds or old releases (move them to archives) to
free up space on mirrors, mostly, but doesn't hurt to free up space on
eclipse.org.

Don't forget to update "info center docs" if any of you have new docs or
doc fixes for Juno SR2. You could open a new bug on infrastructure, or
re-open the one used for original Juno Info Center.

Get ready for a relaxing weekend basking in the knowledge "we did it
again!". :)

As always, please feel free to ask questions or raise issues here if
anyone is having any here during these final days.
I hope everyone's final testing is going (or, went) well.

Thanks all.

Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Where is the "Simultaneous Release Tracker"

2013-02-19 Thread Wayne Beaton

I removed the tracker from the portal a couple of weeks ago, in
favour of replacement functionality in what we're calling the
Project Management Infrastructure (PMI). While I generally agree
with the sentiment expressed by Daniel, I'll admit that I kept it
relatively low profile because I wanted to see who would notice. I
will be spending a lot of my time updating documentation this week.

For the time-being,  the functionality provided by the release
tracker doesn't have a general interface; I have some open questions
regarding how this should manifest. In my mind, for example, it
doesn't make sense to allow any project at any time to declare that
they're part of the release (including past releases as is supported
by the old stuff). I am thinking that members of the planning
council should be able to add projects to a simultaneous release.
For now, however, that functionality is restricted to me.

Stardust is already part of Kepler and is listed as having a +3
offset.

I've noticed that Stardust has not had a release. I am a little
uncomfortable with a project participating in the simultaneous
release without having first engaged in an independent release. What
is Stardust's intention? Does Stardust intend to graduate with
Kepler (i.e. produce a 1.0 or higher release), or will this be an
incubation release?

If you go to the project's info page [1] and log in, there is an
option there to show the project's releases. On that page, you can
add as many release entries as required. One of those releases
should coincide with the Kepler release. Let us know which one will
be part of Kepler, and I'll add to the Kepler page [2].

HTH,

Wayne
