There is a well-known tool, predestined for processing text.

One of the three virtues of the tool's users -- along with hybris --
is laziness ;-)

PS. To be serious, IMHO there is no comparable tool for this job.

it also seems like it'd be a pain to develop two sheets at
once not to mention potential for mistakes...

:)

please read what you've just said again, then ask yourself what
benefits do i get from separating my stylesheets into 2 stylesheets
(one for color, one for structure).

If there is no development benefit, why do it?

[css-d] Separating Style Sheets - Structure and Color

2005-05-15 Thread will moore
Hi,

I've been reading about people creating two separate style sheets for a site:
one for color, one for structure. Moving forward, I'm all about it.

What I'm wondering is... is there a tool out there to separate a sheet that's
already been created? Yes, I'm lazy, but it also seems like it'd be a pain to
develop two sheets at once not to mention potential for mistakes...

so, yeah, any automated way to handle the pulling out of color info?

Short of that, are there any dev tools that will hide everything except for
certain declarations while working?

Thanks,
will
