Using a Mac to download Cygwin to Windows machine
Hello, I am new here, and I thought I posted this yesterday. Apparently it didn't go through. I want to install Cygwin on a Windows machine that does not have internet access. I want to use my Mac to download everything for Cygwin, then move all the files to the Windows machine with a flash drive. How do I do this? I assume I would then run setup.exe on the Windows machine, and it will find all the files it needs on the flash drive. If necessary, I would of course copy all the files to the Windows computer. Please note, I DO NOT want to install Cygwin on the Mac. Expand stack in Cygwin
How does one increase the stack size of an application using Cygwin? I have googled this and found suggestions such as adding -W1,--stack,800 to make the stack 8 meg. However, this doesn't work for me. I include this as an option to gcc in my makefile and bash just reports an error message. Robert H. Re: Expand stack in Cygwin
Thanks to all who wrote. Yes, the problem was that it should be Wl, not W1. (el not one) That makes the compiler happy, and actually solves the odd crashing I was getting. Robert H.
