"hda : lost interrupt." Why do I get this?
After installing etch (Mar 6 daily build of net install) I am getting "hda: lost interrupt" messages on the console. In my system hda is a CD drive. While I was installing, I had issues with kernel panic whenever I forget to issue "install noapic" at boot prompt from the install CD. My final install was done properly and yet it is giving this error. The error started coming only after a boot of my hard disk installed system. It does not come when I boot the install CD with "install noapic". Do you know what might be the problem? Regards Ramesh -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Debian success story reports - is there an archive?
Is there a place where people have reported results/sagas/stories of bringing up debian (any version) on specific hardware? I usually find that I am doing most my searching for these types of reports before buying mother boards and associated hardware. Now that I have brought up debian an on 10 or so different mother boards (old intel 845G to recent gigabyte 590SLI), I like to post info/instructions or at least which version worked out of the box etc., that may make some ones life easier. Is there a place set for this already? Regards Ramesh -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
