Bug#1027443: python3-pyqt6: Package cannot be installed. It depends on 'qt6-base-abi =6.3.1' which does not exist.
Package: python3-pyqt6 Version: 6.4.0-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, I'm using SID, so I realise that I've brought this on myself, but the package probably still needs fixing before it gets assimilated into a release. I wanted to install python3-pyqt6 using synaptic. I first tried using synaptic: select the package, mark for installation, apply -- the usual. When I saw that qt6-base-abi was missing I reloaded package information. qt6-base-abi was still missing but in an access of optimism I retried the install anyway, without success, same reason. Desperation move: I dropped to CLI and tried 'sudo apt install python3-qt6', without much hope of success. My lack of hope was justified ;) My expected outcome: python3-pyqt6 to be installed, and perhaps some dependencies. I've marked this 'important' because it fits the description in reportbug: it's prevented the package from being installed, although probably only for my fellow SIDianites. Thanks!
