Since this is only experimental I might be my usual trigger-happy self and upload in advance. > > > If there's a lack of people interested in maintaing uuu/mfgtools I'd be > > willing to help out. Exactly, added and reimported from upstream. Now tagged and pushed. Pending upload. > > Cheers, > -- Guido Regards, Andreas Henriksson

I've added you as maintainer to the uuu repo so we keep things together. As Henry is the maintainer I'd rather not move repos around if not absolutely needed. We usually use `gbp import-orig --upstream-vcs-tag=` within DebianMobile so if that's what you're referring to, that would be a desirable change. Cheers, -- Guido

Hello Guido, Thanks for your quick reply. More below. I've forked and updated the packaging at: https://salsa.debian.org/ah/mfgtools The relevant commit (apart from `gbp import-orig --uscan`) is https://salsa.debian.org/ah/mfgtools/-/commit/a7a75a60f5e0e923ef1deb1b08469d0a9553a8ed (and then updating debian/changelog ofcourse). It build, installs and runs basic commands fine, but I haven to yet tested it against an actual imx target. If there's a lack of people interested in maintaing uuu/mfgtools I'd be willing to help out. I don't have any particular interest in the Debian on Mobile effort (right now), apart from uuu/mfgtools, though. Would you be willing to give me access or consider if maybe it's better if mfgtools repo live under the "debian" group on salsa? I don't like leaving git repos out of sync, so if I'm given commit access I'd also be willing to upload to experimental. I could even consider adding myself to Uploaders as I am a semi-regular user of uuu and would like to see it be kept up to date. Please advice on what you think is appropriate. (I'm @ah on salsa). Regards, Andreas Henriksson PS. my personal preference is to include full upstream commit history in the upstream branch, if you're also open to making that change in the repo please tell me.

I think Henry isn't very active atm so an upload to experimental would be fine. Cheers, -- Guido
Bug#1032882: uuu: New upstream release available
Package: uuu Version: 1.4.193-1 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer, As currently reported on https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/mfgtools the latest packaged version of uuu is 1.4.193-1 while as reported on the same page the latest upstream version is 1.5.21. I'm opening this bug report to discuss around updating the uuu packaging. Are there any known blockers? Lack of volunteers? etc. (As we're currently in freeze for bookworm it might be best to just prepare updates targeting experimental for now. I do volunteer to look into it if the problem is lack of volunteers, but if you do have known issues or blockers then please share!)
