97_fix_target_link_libraries.diff adds kio to the list of implicit libraries 
on kabc which kabc_file_core links against. The only reason for this could be 
that you're still using old cmake (2.4.x), aren't you?

You mean it's not done automatically? With one misguided attempt at messing 
around with target_link_libraries I got patch errors, so I assume the patches 
are being applied by dpkg-buildpackage.
And I *do* build against Debian's kde4libs -- isn't it what Build-Depends is 
about? Is there some possibility of conflict with kdelibs (the KDE3 variety) I 
should take care of? [As you can see I don't build in a chroot]
