Unfortunately, 3.1.1 is too painful to use due to this UDP bug. Lenny deserves better than to be released with a package in this condition. Can we get only the DNS lookup bug fixed against 3.1.1 and into lenny? If not then I sadly suggest dropping ktorrent from lenny. If any more problems occur, I'll notify about it. This looks like the problem reported at http://ktorrent.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2655 Quoting main ktorrent developer: "It is fixed now, it was an infinite loop of failed DNS lookups in the UDP tracker code. Fix will be part of 3.1.4 which is going to be out this weekend." And please be more specific in your bug reports. Your original report didn't contain enough information, but followups did clear up situation a bit. -- Modestas Vainius <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

If any more problems occur, I'll notify about it. Have a good day.

If you think it is a bug, please elaborate : - does it go into infinite loops eating 100% of the CPU ? - is it specific to a function ? Is there a way to reproduce it ? If the problem is that it just takes more CPU power than ktorrent2 for normal operation without any other odd behaviour, then there is nothing we (debian packagers) can do about it. Applications ported to KDE4 are less optimised in their first release, but it gets better with time. Please be more verbose on your next bug reports and don't forget to CC [EMAIL PROTECTED] when replying to get your mail archived. I am sorry if it sounded harsh. -- Xavier Vello -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
