Bug#521285: Debian bug#521285 wcd: path names are recoded in absolute form - use

2009-08-15 Thread Erwin Waterlander

Hi Jari,

I recall this problem. Indeed, it has not been solved yet. My focus was
lately on support for UTF-8 Unicode, which by now that is pretty stable.

It looks like that this problem is typical for Solaris combined with the
use of SVM (Solaris Volume Manager). And there is a workaround, so it
didn't have high priority.

It is still on my todo list. I can't predict when it will be solved. I
think after I have finished support for UTF-16 Unicode on which I'm
working now.

best regards,

Bug#521285: Debian bug#521285 wcd: path names are recoded in absolute form - use

2009-08-13 Thread Jari Aalto

Hi Erwin,

Thanks for releasing new version which I'm packaging for Debian.

Could you recall this:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=521285

From my testing this is not yet implemented in 5.0.4. Would you have any
estimate in which version you could address it?

Thanks,
Jari
