Bug#548781: Elmer documentation changes

2009-09-28 Thread Boris Pek
Package: elmer
Version: 5.5.0.svn.4214.dfsg-1+b1
Severity: wishlist

It's not bugreport, but just some notes about changes in Elmer project.

Firstly, the Elmer documentation has recently been moved under Creative Commons
Attribution-No Derivative Works 3.0 License:
http://www.elmerfem.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11t=18

Second note is about small changes in ElmerGUI.pri file:
http://elmerfem.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/elmerfem/trunk/ElmerGUI/ElmerGUI.pri?r1=4230r2=4229pathrev=4230
i.e. the same section in debian/patches/ElmerGUI-config.patch is not now
required.

Hi to all,

Why so slow?

I see miniupnpc package in Debian NEW for a month:

It will come to experimental branch.
But I need it in Debian Sid in the nearest future.

Any progress?

I will upload to SID once it's approved by the
 ftp-masters in experimental!

This is good.

Ask the ftp-masters that have the job of approving
 new packages...

Yes, I see this. But some packages are waiting solution for 11 months. And it
is a bit worrying.

Their list is big, you can help
them if you feel it's slow!

How can I help them? Or how can I affect the speed of reviewing package?

Thanks for a quick answers.

retitle 612097 Permission to upload q4wine to squeeze-proposed-updates for
fixing #612027

thanks

Hi Adam,

The release process for squeeze has been underway for a little over 12
hours now; it's rather too late to get any more changes in, I'm afraid.

Unfortunately, the bug report was received too late.

This should be fixable for the first point release, but will need to be
a stable update rather than a t-p-u upload.

I updated the diff. Look on it please. Perhaps it is suitable for use.

Regards, Boris

2011-02-28 Thread Boris Pek
You asked for permission to upload q4wine to stable. What do you think I mean?

Ok. I can articulate otherwise.

I applied this patch to q4wine sources 0.118-4 and built q4wine 0.118-5.
There was no error when assembling the package.

Then I tested package in lintian.
It haven't found errors.

Next I installed this package to my system and launched the program.
It works fine.

So I don't see any errors or important warnings which can prevent updating the
package in stable.

And what I need to fix?

If you see mistakes, just write about it.

I began this bug report because it was RC bug. Now Debian Squeeze have been
realised and problem have been fixed in Debian Sid.

Maybe the package does not need to update in Debian Squeeze at all? Correction
does not apply to security issues. This is just fix the location of the library
used. And the program works fine without any changes...

Regards,
Boris

2011-01-18 Thread Boris Pek
Well, no problem: The copyright files of the version in testing and
experimental are the very same. I checked iris/src/jdns,
 src/tools/crash/crash_sigsev* and third-party/qca/qca/src/botantools
which also seem to be present in both versions. So this bug seems
clearly to affects both versions (also #598944 seems to claim
 otherwise).

Just for the record: version 0.15~svn3463-1 available on mentors.d.n
 doesn't fix it, too.

Yes, I'll fix it in next upload.

I need explain it (bug #598944).

It was another problem. Our sponsor made remark that not all source files in
the program contain license disclaimer and also some another remarks.

So we contacted with developers and showed them list of problematical files.
When they have solved our issue sponsor uploaded fixed package.

There are no non-free icons in this package. But copyrights info is also needed
to be updated as I see now.

Packages for last stable release q4wine 0.118 (2010-04-15) are now available in

warnings found by
Lintian utility.

What is the mechanism of adoption package in Debian? I am a bit lost in the
documentation, I
would like to see a direct link.

I know that maintainers are very busy now, because Squeeze will be stable soon.
But is it really
hard to add package in experimental branch of Debian? It would be useful to
know about the
possibility of building this program on other architectures (arm, ia64, mips,
sparc and etc).
Launchpad does not provide such functionality unfortunately.

 libeiskaltdcpp.so.2.2 = /usr/local/lib/libeiskaltdcpp.so.2.2 (0xb62cf000)

Here is your problem.

I see that you compiled program manually and forgot to remove this library from
your system.
Original library from the package libeiskaltdcpp2.2 is placed here:
/usr/lib/libeiskaltdcpp.so.2.2
It is very important that versions of executable binary file and this library
must be equal...
So just delete /usr/lib/libeiskaltdcpp.so.2.2 and program will works fine.

Patches for package in Squeeze and package in Sid are differ in content, but
about the same in meaning. It is because of different versions of the program...

Hi,

there seems to be a problem with the webkit package, it does not depend on
the package libqtwebkit4, so the webkit function does not work correctly.

You are wrong. There is libqtwebkit4 package in dependencies.

$ apt-cache show psi-plus-webkit
Package: psi-plus-webkit
Source: psi-plus
Version: 0.15~svn3910-1
...

Bug#628109: [psi-plus-webkit] does not depend on libqtwebkit4

2011-05-29 Thread Boris Pek
i am not totally wrong ;-) on my amd64 box there ist no libqtwebkit4 depends.

 http://packages.debian.org/sid/psi-plus-webkit shows

 dep: libqtwebkit4 [nicht amd64]
Web content engine library for Qt

the control file of the psi-plus-webkit_0.15~svn3910-1_amd64.deb shows

 Depends: psi-plus-common (= 0.15~svn3910-1), libaspell15 (= 0.60), libc6 (=
 2.2.5), libgcc1 (= 1:4.1.1), libqca2, libqt4-dbus (= 4:4.5.3), libqt4-
 network (= 4:4.5.3), libqt4-qt3support (= 4:4.5.3), libqt4-svg (= 4:4.5.3),
 libqt4-xml (= 4:4.5.3), libqtcore4 (= 4:4.7.0~beta1), libqtgui4 (=
 4:4.6.1), libstdc++6 (= 4.1.1), libx11-6, libxext6, libxss1, zlib1g (=
 1:1.1.4)

on my i386 box it works correctly with libqtwebkit4 depends.

Hmm, I really missed it out of sight.

But this is not my fault. This package must be added automatically by
dh_shlibdeps program (see man dh_shlibdeps).
There is special variable ${shlibs:Depends} in debian/control file:
https://github.com/tehnick/deb_packages/blob/master/Debian/psi-plus/debian/control#L47

Please show your output in console for such command:
$ ldd /usr/bin/psi-plus-webkit | grep Kit
It must contain libQtWebKit.so.4

And as I see this library is present at libqtwebkit4 for amd64:
http://packages.debian.org/sid/amd64/libqtwebkit4/filelist

As I see there is no logs for amd64 here:
https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=psi-plus

So maybe something wrong in package building process on my sponsor's PC.
I'll write him about this bug.

Regards,
Boris

Bug#628109: [psi-plus-webkit] does not depend on libqtwebkit4

2011-05-29 Thread Boris Pek
 ldd /usr/bin/psi-plus-webkit | grep Kit

shows nothing on my amd64 box. below is also the whole output without grep

because it only affects the amd64 package my first thougt also was that it
could be a failure in the building process

Ok, also check please binaries are differ:
$ diff /usr/bin/psi-plus /usr/bin/psi-plus-webkit

I looked buildlog in Psi+ PPA on Launchpad:
https://launchpadlibrarian.net/72593103/buildlog_ubuntu-oneiric-amd64.psi-plus_0.15~svn3942-0ubuntu1_BUILDING.txt.gz

And I saw all fine there:

 Package: psi-plus-webkit
 Source: psi-plus
 Version: 0.15~svn3942-0ubuntu1
...
 Depends: psi-plus-common, libaspell15 (= 0.60), libc6 (= 2.4), libgcc1 (=
1:4.1.1), libqca2, libqt4-dbus (= 4:4.5.3), libqt4-network (= 4:4.5.3),
libqt4-qt3support (= 4:4.5.3), libqt4-svg (= 4:4.5.3), libqt4-xml (=
4:4.5.3), libqtcore4 (= 4:4.7.0~beta1), libqtgui4 (= 4:4.6.1), libqtwebkit4
(= 2.1~really2.0.2), libstdc++6 (= 4.1.1), libx11-6, libxss1, zlib1g (=
1:1.1.4)
...

Most part of package rules are identical, so...

Bug#678468: RFS: sgml-data/2.0.7 [RC] [QA] -- common SGML and XML data

2012-06-23 Thread Boris Pek
Hi,

Thank you for a reply.

I am looking for a sponsor for my package sgml-data.

You say QA upload below, I guess you don't mean to adopt the package,
 right?

Yes, right. That phrase is from template on m.d.n.

Thanks for taking care of this package. This upload fixes at least one
 RC bug.

Yes, this is the main reason of my QA upload.

http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/s/sgml-data/sgml-data_2.0.7.dsc

Your upload already fixes a lot of things, but there is still room for
 improvement.

  * How about using dh_testdir instead of a custom $(checkdir)?
  * How about using dh_testroot instead of a custom $(checkroot)?
  * You could also replace some of the $(makedir) with dh_installdirs.
  * dh_clean removes *~, so there is no need to do this with find.
  * You no longer need to rmdir /etc/sgml on purge, cause there is a
conffile in that directory.

Ok, I can update the package this evening.

  * The description still contains the homepage.

Hmm, is it a problem? I don't see nothing about it in the Debian Policy [1].
That lintian note was about missed homepage field which is possibly present in
description.

[1]
http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-controlfields.html#s-f-Description

All of these problems are minor, so I would like to see this (or an
improved version) uploaded before the freeze.

So do I. But it is too hard to find the sponsor. Not mailing lists, nor new
pseudo-package didn't help me yet.

 If this doesn't happen, I
will need someone to sponsor a NMU and a get a freeze exception which
means more work for the release team.

Why NMU? First freeze is soft and QA uploads and even upload with increasing of
version are allowed. Isn't it? But yes, this can be hard for release team.

QA upload is much better than NMU because the quality of package can be
improved, not only small bug fix can be added.

Also I wanted to add the package in collab-maint git repository. But I haven't
received any reply from Alioth administrators...

Regards,
Boris

Why NMU? First freeze is soft and QA uploads and even upload with

Because once the freeze is in effect only RC bug fixes are allowed in.
So the changes need to be minimal at that point. My NMU does just that.

I have read another info. See [1] for example. The quotation:
As with the Squeeze freeze the process will be gradual, with a more
liberal acceptance policy in the earlier stages. Precise details as to
what that means will be available soon.

So we'll see in details when they are available.

Bug#678803: RFS: sgml-data/2.0.8 [QA] -- common SGML and XML data

2012-06-24 Thread Boris Pek
Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: debian...@lists.debian.org

Hi,

I am looking for a sponsor for the package sgml-data.

It builds binary package:
sgml-data - common SGML and XML data

To access further information about this package, please visit the following
URL:
  http://mentors.debian.net/package/sgml-data

Direct link for download:
  http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/s/sgml-data/sgml-data_2.0.8.dsc

The package is lintian-clean. I always check using:
  lintian -ivIE --pedantic *.changes

RC bug was fixed independently (see #678468), so only minor issues are left.

Changes in the package:

sgml-data (2.0.8) unstable; urgency=low

  * QA upload.
  * Bumped Standards-Version to 3.9.3 (was 3.8.3).
  * Bumped debhelper version to 9 (was 5.0.0); updated debian/compat.
  * Now package sgml-data suggests package w3-recs instead of missing
package doc-html-w3. (Closes: #612239)
  * Added Homepage field debian/control.
  * Simplified file debian/rules:
- dh_testdir and dh_testroot commands used instead manual
  checkdir and checkroot functions
- deleted few useless comments
  * Deleted files debian/postrm and debian/preinst:
- extra commands from them are not necessary now
- necessary commands debhelper generates automatically
  * Fixed such lintian warnings and notes:
+ sgml-data source:
  - package-file-is-executable debian/control
  - debian-rules-missing-recommended-target build-arch
  - debian-rules-missing-recommended-target build-indep
  - dh-clean-k-is-deprecated
+ sgml-data:
  - conflicts-with-version sp (= 1.1.1-2)
  - possible-documentation-but-no-doc-base-registration

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Best regards,
Boris

2012-06-25 Thread Boris Pek
Hi,

Thank you for a reply.

Please use X-Debbugs-Cc instead of regular Cc when filing bugs:
 http://www.debian.org/Bugs/Reporting#xcc

Yes, I didn't know about it when I sent this RFS, but I already used it in my
recent messages.

   * Translation files were moved to new package libvisual-0.4-0-i18n:
fixed bug with arch-dependent files in multiarch package. (Closes:
 #670031)

Why is this necessary? Now that #671257 is fixed, .mo files shouldn't
vary with architecture unless something odd is going on.

Thanks a lot! I was not aware of this bug report. I'll revert that change and
update the package this evening.

Best regards,
Boris

Bug#616602: Display goes black after using this program

2012-06-26 Thread Boris Pek
Hi,

The display goes black after using zgv to view a jpg image, and it is not
possible to return to a working console.

Switching virtual consoles will not revive the display, making it necessary
to telnet the machine from a remote for rebooting.

This problem was observed on a computer fitted with an ATI Radeon 9200 card
using the open source radeon driver. The problem may be exhibited on other
 hardware.

These symptoms look like problem with video driver. During passed year there
were lots of changes in it. Could you confirm that the problem is still
exist in updated system?

2012-06-27 Thread Boris Pek
Hi,

The upstream authors doesn't have this version available as tarball for
download, I had to create the tarball myself. The main differences
between the 0.1.1 stable version and this git commit is only about the
construct system: I have made some suggestions and they included it in
the repository after the 0.1.1 release.

In this case you could just add the patch in your package. And in the next
upload you will delete it. Also this patch may include only necessary changes,
but not full diff after stable release.

I often use such method in my packages.

Boris

Bug#675295: FTBFS in version 0.13+ds1-2

2012-06-27 Thread Boris Pek
Hi Peter,

During researching the list of packages maintained by Debian QA Group [1] with
bugs I found the package matanza [2].

As we can see in changelog [3] you adopted this package, and its updated
version was uploaded into experimental.

Unfortunately, your changes causes new FTBFS. (I've tested version 0.13+ds1-1
and it was built successfully.)

Are you still interested in maintaining of this package? If yes could you
update the package in the nearest future? (Wheeze freeze will be at June 30.)

RC bug #675295 can be fixed by NMU, but less serious bugs #636984 and #662427
should be fixed in usual or QA upload. And it would be very nice to have them
fixed to approach the libpng15 transition.

Bug #662427 needs tiny change in debian/control and bug #636984 has patch.
So the package won't require much time for update.

I am not sure how organized the maintaining process in the Debian Games Team.
Maybe someone else can prepare an update. And this will be fine too.

(Please Cc me in replies, I am not subscribed to this mailing list)

Boris

Bug#587062: exactimage: file format misdetection

2012-06-27 Thread Boris Pek
Hi,

Can you please coordinate your quest in http://bugs.debian.org/587062

Thanks a lot for a note. I have no intention to become the maintainer of this
package. I've just prepared the QA upload. See my RFS:
http://bugs.debian.org/679321

(Unfortunately I have no access to collab-maint yet, and I cannot commit to it
directly. So I prepared the package in usual way.)

The new version is already packaged in the experimental branch of
  http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=collab-maint/exactimage.git

Hmm, I saw only master branch and 0.8.5-4 tag there via web browser.

But now I've cloned git repo and found experimental branch.
So I'll just close my RFS.

Best regards,
Boris

Bug#679439: RFS: lightspeed/1.2a-9 [QA] -- Shows how objects moving at relativistic speeds look like

2012-06-28 Thread Boris Pek
Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: debian...@lists.debian.org

Hi,

I am looking for a sponsor for the package lightspeed.

It builds binary package:
lightspeed - Shows how objects moving at relativistic speeds look like

To access further information about this package, please visit the following
URL:
  http://mentors.debian.net/package/lightspeed

Direct link for download:
  http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/l/lightspeed/lightspeed_1.2a-9.dsc

Changes in the package:

lightspeed (1.2a-9) unstable; urgency=low

  * QA upload.
  * Bumped Standards-Version to 3.9.3 (was 3.7.2.0).
  * Bumped debhelper version to 9 (was 4.0.0); updated debian/compat.
  * Added file debian/source/format: format 1.0 is still used in this package.
  * Added files debian/docs and debian/manpages to simplify debian/rules.
  * Deleted files config/config.guess and config/config.sub.
Files from the package autotools-dev are used instead.
  * Rewritten debian/rules:
- now dh is used instead of direct dh_* commands
- added --as-needed option to LDFLAGS
- added section get-orig-source (uscan is used)
- used symlinks for config/config.guess and config/config.sub
- fixed lintian warnings:
  + hardening-no-relro
  + hardening-no-fortify-functions
  + debian-rules-ignores-make-clean-error
  + debian-rules-missing-recommended-target build-arch
  + debian-rules-missing-recommended-target build-indep
  + dh-clean-k-is-deprecated
  * Updated debian/control:
- added Homepage field
- changed build dependency from libpng12-dev to libpng-dev (Closes: #662418)
- changed build dependency from ftgl-dev to libftgl-dev (Closes: #485799)
- added build dependency from autotools-dev
- added ${misc:Depends} to list of dependencies
- lightspeed now suggests ttf-dejavu instead of ttf-bitstream-vera which
is not present in repository (Closes: #461272)
  * Updated debian/copyright: fixed lintian warning
debian-copyright-file-uses-obsolete-national-encoding.
  * Updated debian/watch: fixed lintian warning
debian-watch-file-should-use-sf-redirector. (Closes: #449901)
  * Patched file src/snapshot.c. [Thanks to Nobuhiro Iwamatsu] (Closes: #649787)
But build with libpng version 1.5.10 now impossible because
`pkg-config --cflags gtk+-2.0` returns error:
Package 'libpng12', required by 'GdkPixbuf', not found

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Best regards,
Boris

Bug#679466: q4wine: Does not install in amd64 because of missed dependency wine-bin-unstable

2012-06-28 Thread Boris Pek
tags 679466 confirmed
thanks

Hi,

There's new packages of wine-unstable version 1.5.6 but there has been some
changes. In amd64 the package wine-bin-unstable has been renamed
wine64-bin-unstable so q4wine won't install because of missing dependency.
This also applies to the newer version of q4wine in experimental.
I simply rebuild the q4wine package with the new dependency and it works.

Thank you for the bug report. I'll fix it ASAP.

Best regards,
Boris

PS: please limit the length of strings in your future messages if possible.
Something about 80 characters would be fine.

Sorry, but after more detail research I found that packages wine64-bin and
wine64-bin-unstable are not independent. They just provide documentation. See:
  http://packages.debian.org/sid/wine64-bin-unstable
  http://packages.debian.org/sid/amd64/wine64-bin-unstable/filelist
  http://packages.debian.org/sid/wine64-bin
  http://packages.debian.org/sid/amd64/wine64-bin/filelist

So wine-bin-unstable or wine-bin should be installed in any case...

$ cat /usr/bin/wine
#!/bin/sh

echo This is the wine64-bin helper package, which does not provide wine
itself,
echo but instead exists solely to provide the following information about
echo enabling multiarch on your system in order to be able to install and run
echo the 32-bit wine packages.
echo
echo The following commands should be issued as root or via sudo in order to
echo enable multiarch (the last command installs 32-bit wine):
echo
echo # dpkg --add-architecture i386
echo # sed -i 's/deb\ /deb\ [arch=amd64,i386]\ /g' /etc/apt/sources.list
echo # apt-get update
echo # apt-get install wine-bin:i386
echo
echo Be very careful as spaces matter above. For kfreebsd systems, replace
i386
echo and amd64 with kfreebsd-i386 and kfreebsd-amd64. Note that this package
echo (wine64-bin) will be removed in the process. For more information on the
echo multiarch conversion, see:
echo http://wiki.debian.org/Multiarch/HOWTO;

Bug#587062: exactimage 0.7.8-1

2012-07-02 Thread Boris Pek
Hi Daniel,

I've posted an ITA bug on that piece and I've seen that you've prepared
 exactimage 0.8.7-1
as a QA upload, which is really great! Would you like to send me over you
 package and I am
going to put everything which has been done so far together, or what's your
 current intention?

Yep, it was my fault: I prepared few QA uploads [1] before freeze and I had
missed that this package was in ITA state.

Unfortunately, I have removed my version of package. But I've sent small patch
which may be interesting for you:
  http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=587062#69

As we can see in my RFS message [2] there were very few changes. And all these
changes you have already done in git repo.

Personally I was interested in libpng15 transition. I've tested build and it
was successful.

It's a pity that libpng15 transition was not finished in Wheeze. But this is
normal. I hope it will be finished in the next release.

Best regards,
Boris

Source: sflphone
Version: 1.1.0-2

Hi,

Please provide the package for KDE front-end.

As we can see in release notes [1]:
The KDE client is now fully up-to-date with the latest version of
 sflphone daemon.

Subdirectory kde is available in source tree [2] but not in your tarball [3].
File watch [4] points to not existed archive [5]. So I can't check that
subdirectory kde is available in release tarball. And I have no idea where
these sources are come from. But I think that upstream tarball includes all
sources from git repository.

Bug#672268: RFS: kde-gtk-config/2.0-1 [ITP] -- KDE configuration module for GTK+ 2.x and GTK+ 3.x style selection

2012-06-02 Thread Boris Pek
Hi,

Thank you for a reply.

 2) Handling of the transition

I just tested with a clean user: the current kde-config-gtk-style creates one
.gtkrc-2.0-kde while your new kde-config-gtk-style creates one .gtkrc-2.0-kde4
that is a symlink to .gtkrc-2.0 . You should probably cope with
04_no_kde4_in_configfile.diff in src:kcm-gtk and make sure any changes put
there by kcm-gtk is kept gracefully.

Done.

As a general rule, make sure that any bug
fixed in kcm-gtk (by its patches or by its code) is not re-introduced by
 src:kde-gtk-config.

Ok. I have read all bug reports in Debian BTS [1] and in Launchpad [2].

There is only one bug report [3] in Debian BTS (which is still opened).
And this bug is exactly about .gtkrc-2.0-kde symlink. So it will be fixed
by my package when it is uploaded to unstable.

There is the same bug report in Launchpad [4]. All other bugs from Ubuntu
are not related with my new package.

Other than that, it looks fine but at least 2) ought to be fixed.

Great! So I think the package is ready for upload now.

Direct link for download:

http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/k/kde-gtk-config/kde-gtk-config_2.0-1.dsc

Best regards,
Boris

Bug#678069: RFS: libquantum/1.1.0-2 [QA] -- library for the simulation of a quantum computer

2012-06-18 Thread Boris Pek
Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: normal

Hi,

(Please Cc me in replies, I am not subscribed to debian-science mailing list)

I am looking for a sponsor for the package libquantum.

It builds those binary packages:
libquantum-dev - library for the simulation of a quantum computer
(development files)
libquantum7 - library for the simulation of a quantum computer

To access further information about this package, please visit the following
URL:
  http://mentors.debian.net/package/libquantum

Direct link for download:

http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/libq/libquantum/libquantum_1.1.0-2.dsc

Changes in the package:

libquantum (1.1.0-2) unstable; urgency=low

  * QA upload.
  * Set maintainer to Debian QA Group (see #674883).
  * Deleted Vcs-* fields from debian/control.
  * Package was switched to source format 3.0 (quilt).
  * Added build dependency from autotools-dev.
  * Bumped Standards-Version to 3.9.3.
  * debian/rules was updated:
- now dh is used instead of direct dh_* commands
- used hardening flags in compiler options
- added section get-orig-source (uscan is used)
- fixed FTBFS because of outdated config.{sub, guess} (Closes: #572527)
  * Fixed such lintian errors, warnings and wishes:
+ libquantum source:
  - binary-control-field-duplicates-source field section in package
libquantum7
  - duplicate-short-description libquantum-dev libquantum7
  - outdated-autotools-helper-file config.sub 2004-11-30
  - outdated-autotools-helper-file config.guess 2004-11-12
  - debhelper-but-no-misc-depends libquantum-dev
  - debhelper-but-no-misc-depends libquantum7
  - missing-debian-source-format
  - debian-rules-missing-recommended-target build-arch
  - debian-rules-missing-recommended-target build-indep
  - ancient-standards-version 3.8.1 (current is 3.9.3)
+ libquantum7:
  - hardening-no-fortify-functions usr/lib/libquantum.so.7.0.0
+ libquantum-dev:
  - non-empty-dependency_libs-in-la-file usr/lib/libquantum.la

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Also I need DD's help to create git repository for this package in collab-maint.
I followed instructions from [1] and sent the request to join. Now I am waiting
for reply.

Best regards,
Boris

Bug#678069: RFS: libquantum/1.1.0-2 [QA] -- library for the simulation of a quantum computer

2012-06-19 Thread Boris Pek
Hi,

Thank you for a reply.

Why don't you upload it into Debian Science instead ? (and set the
 maintainer to Debian Science ?

This is QA upload. I won't be the maintainer of this package.
I just want to improve its quality while it has no maintainer.

 See
 http://debian-science.alioth.debian.org/debian-science-policy.html#idp17627488

Quotation:

Maintainer and Uploaders Fields

The Maintainer field should be Debian Science Maintainers
debian-science-maintain...@lists.alioth.debian.org.

You should also add yourself to the Uploaders field. Doing so shows your
involvement and interest in the package. Developers listed in Uploaders
willtake care of maintenance, bug reports and other QA work, helped by
the Debian Science team.

I don't think that the package with Debian Science Maintainers in
Maintainer field and completely without Uploaders field is good idea.

If you think this will be correct and someone will upload such package,
I can prepare it this evening.

Best regards,
Boris

Well, you should ask to the QA team then, no ?

Hmm, you are right. Thanks.

Bug#656361: O: kmldonkey -- KDE GUI for MLDonkey

2012-06-20 Thread Boris Pek
Hi,

Upstream appears to be dead. If no one wants to maintain it, maybe it
 should be removed.

This is not true. Possible adopters may read:
  http://bugs.debian.org/658378

If no-one interested is found, maybe I'll upload new version as QA upload.

Regards,
Boris
