Hello, I wondered if you had any more news about this fix which would allow MTOS to be released with Debian squeeze (main) soon? If it's not forthcoming, I will need to move it to non-free (which isn't a disaster -- it can be moved back for future releases), but obviously is sub-optimal). Dominic, I confirmed with the plugin author about it. Unfortunately it is not yet ready to be opened to the public, and requires some more time, probably until the end of September. And the fundamental solution should be to re-design the dashboard without these flash files at the future release of MT. As we have already closed the feature planning phase for 5.1, we will also consider at the one after 5.1 to review this new requirement. So it sounds like you plan to do some work at Six Apart to help fix this for Debian in the short term by removing the flash functionality? Is that correct? If you can supply a patch against the current source so that the flash files won't be used, I can ensure that they aren't installed in the Debian package; I don't think that a new release tarball will necessarily be needed from you, although I would appreciate any clarification from the bug submitter (as well as any ideas on better ways to proceed). Dominic, Sorry to get back to you late. I am wishing to replace these flash files by more generic solution such as JavaScript and/or HTML5 at some future MT5 milestone. But I believe that we are looking for the immediate solution for MT4.3x. It is difficult to simply remove these files since it is tighten to the core functionality. I know one MT4 plugin which will disable the Blog Stats function.
