Please actually fill out these values.

Can you please not use (internal?) abbreviations of code names? From
this description I could not tell if I want it, even if I own Intel
chips of multiple generations.

Bug#910002: ITP: combblas -- an extensible parallel graph library for graph analytics

2018-09-30 Thread Drew Parsons
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Drew Parsons

* Package name: combblas
  Version : 1.6.2
  Upstream Author : (c) 2018, The Regents of the University of California,
through Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and University of California,
Santa Barbara
* URL :
https://people.eecs.berkeley.edu/~aydin/CombBLAS/html/index.html
* License : BSD
  Programming Lang: C++, C
  Description : an extensible parallel graph library for graph analytics

The Combinatorial BLAS (CombBLAS) is an extensible distributed-memory
parallel graph library offering a small but powerful set of linear
algebra primitives specifically targeting graph analytics.

- The Combinatorial BLAS development influences the Graph BLAS
  standardization process.
- It achieves scalability via its two dimensional distribution and
  coarse-grained parallelism.
- CombBLAS powers HipMCL, a highly-scalable parallel implementation of
  the Markov Cluster Algorithm (MCL).
- Operations among sparse matrices and vectors use arbitrary user
  defined semirings.

combblas implements AWPM, a row permutation algorithm now offered in
superlu-dist as an alternative to the non-free MC64 algorithm.
Consequently combblas will make superlu-dist much more useful than it
has been in the past.

It will be packaged under the Debian Science team alongside
superlu-dist.

As I understand it, alioth-lists.d.n is an interim location and folks
should migrate to either a lists.d.o list, a tracker.d.o team or
pkgn...@packages.debian.org.

Q: Best practice for maintainer address with "alioth"

2018-09-30 Thread Hideki Yamane
Hi,

 You know, Alioth is gone, but some of mail addresses are alive
 since they are redirected to new alioth-lists.debian.net.

 Then question, (a) x...@lists.alioth.debian.org or
 (b) x...@alioth-lists.debian.net, which is better to use
 maintainer address and why?

Viteris is a tetris clone with multiplayer, netplay and joystick support.
This is a terminal based, standalone game with no dependencies.

Note that this would be my first attempt at creating a Debian package. I
choose this one because it's a nice game and it's a very simple program
to begin with. I will need a sponsor to upload this package.

Bug#909961: ITP: termrec -- terminal session recorder/player/converter

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: termrec
  Version : 0.18
  Upstream Author : yours truly
* URL : https://angband.pl/termrec.html
* License : LGPL2+noAffero
  Programming Lang: C
  Description : terminal session recorder/player/converter

termrec can record and replay a "video" of a terminal session, akin to and
compatible with ttyrec, nh-recorder, DosRecorder and asciinema. Unlike
these programs, you can go back during replay (like less vs more). The
recordings can be compressed on the fly, and/or streamed over various
protocols. You can also convert between supported formats.

The UI is pretty weak, but a library is provided so you can write something
better.
