Anything like that possible? I am not aware of any KDE-related config option to set this, but the tool xmodmap (installed with Xfree86) allows for this. man xmodmap can help, although it can be somewhat confusing :-) I don't have the exact syntax for this here, but I can mail you tomorrow if you let me know. KDE (splash screen / loading panel) don't close...
Hi Folk's, I suddenly have a problem with KDE 3.0 on debian unstable. I don't know why, but when I start my session, the KDE window (how do you name it ? splash screen ? loading panel ? ... ?) don't close until one or two mouse clicks on it... It stops it when the wheel icon (the last one of the panel) was highlighted. Any idea about how to solve this problem ? Thanks, Patrice.

Re: trouble with kdeprint: problem fixed !
I am happy to report that the new set of debs for version 3.1.0+rc6 of KDE corrects this problem. I am now able to print correctly from all applications that enable printing. Furthermore, since this is also a new CUPS installation from old LPRNG installation, it is really very nice indeed! Great work by the KDE team and Karolina for the debs. Thanks all ! Re: sid version up
Found a small problem with the sid packages. I'm sorry I can't provide too much more info but knotify was continuously crashing after installing the packages. The little into I could get said X11::Arts (hope that's right) could not find libx11globalcomm.la which was in the libarts-alsa in the main sid archive. After installing the 'Ralf' debs I found the file lurking in libarts1-dev. I know there's been a conversation regarding .la and .so files but it might pay to either move it out of the dev package or add a dependency. Could be used for now, though I'm unhappy with it. It's more dirty than a dirty hack, because what is desireable is to change the way that doctreeview.cpp parses .kdoc files. It should be enabled to either kdoc or tag files, so the modification needs to happen there. I would be more than happy to include a fix in the kdevelop sourcetree to enable the treeviewer to parse either, this will finally solve all problems for the doxygen documentation and will also enable app developers to view their own API's also without crude hacks. If you need any assistance with that, let me know. I would surely be thankful for hacking up doctreeview.cpp in kdevelop. Please get the 2.1.4 sourcetree or the KDE_2_2_BRANCH kdevelop and exchange kdevelop/admin against kde-common/admin from HEAD to make it work (or just grab the sources from the KDE-3.0.5a release with apt-get source). I'll also repackage this, as long as it cleans this up in a way that the work doesn't have to happen over and over again with following releases in KDE for API documentation generation.
