Bug#648521: kdelibs-bin: Login fails once from two times in alternance
tag 648521 + unreproducible moreinfo severity 648521 normal thanks Hi, We could not reproduce the issue, and the codebase has changed so much that the issue might have been fixed in the meantime. So, I'm downgrading the bug severity and would close the issue if no extra info is added. Please, if you still can reproduce the problem let us know, if possible, explain the steps needed to reproduce it. Thanks, -- If I ask another professor what he teaches in the introductory programming course, whether he answers proudly Pascal or diffidently FORTRAN, I know that he is teaching a grammar, a set of semantic rules, and some finished algorithms, leaving the students to discover, on their own, some process of design. -- Robert W. I'm not sure it's the same, but ever since the upgrade to 4.10/KMail2 KWallet asks for my KWallet password A LOT to retrieve (or send) the mail from 1 of my email accounts. I've made no change to KWallet's config. I think KMail2 is using a different acount resource so is being treated differently by kwallet. If you're getting prompted all the time for your password I suspect kwallet is not set to allways allow. Since the migration to KMail2 didn't work too well for me (and I'm mostly using dIMAP), I deleted and recreated my dIMAP accounts. Try looking in system settings Account Details KDE Wallet Access Control, That shows in interesting picture ... I have quite a lot of email related items in there (all set to Always Allow) and a whole bunch of them look like duplicates of other entries. Example: - didi.deb...@cknow.org of type blank - didi.deb...@cknow.org of type IMAP E-Mail Server And I also have 5 entries for my ownCloud (DAV) resource! I guess it's time for a cleanup of that list. There's also a setting Prompt when an application accesses an open wallet, which is checked. But does that setting apply to all requests to the wallet or only ones which don't have 'Allow Always' policy?
