Bug#748705: KDE: window-switching: ALT-TAB switching messes up windows
Package: kde-plasma-desktop Version: 5:84 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, When switching between windows under KDE / plasma, using ALT-TAB, instead of just bringing the selected window in the foreground, other windows get messed up too. Imagine 3 active windows on a desktop: A under B under C. If I now cycle over them, using ALT-TAB by holding ALT and pressing and releasing TAB repeatedly until I arrive at the window I wish to bring in the foreground, other windows should stay unaffected. So, if I now want to switch to window A, B should still stay under C, but this is not always the case, the behaviour of all other windows on the desktop seems quite unpredictable. With 5 to 10 windows it can get quite bad: instead of just bringing one window to the foreground, as was always the case before, selecting a certain window often destroys the desktop window arrangement completely. Bug#748706: KDE: international keyboard layouts: Russian phonetic layout changed for no reason
Package: kde-plasma-desktop Version: 5:84 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, After a software update today the Russian phonetic keyboard layout mixed up 3 letters. Using a phonetic layout has always helped me to quickly enable the cyrillic alphabet without the need to either learn blind typing in the Russian windows layout or to acquire a cyrillic keyboard. I've been using it happily since many years until suddenly today 3 relatively central letters changed their location on the keyboard. This is probably an upstream change, but is there a really compelling reason for it? This change approximately double the amount of time I now need to enter cyrillic texts, also taking into account, that on a dozen other PCs I use more or less often the layout is still the previous version. Could a reverse change be discussed with upstream folks?
