If it's disruptive to real-time communications (which I think is the most important function of the channel), then I'd be against it. Upload notifications are few enough that I think it's fine, although those are usually easy enough to infer from the tagging commit messages, but bugs would be a lot of useless (IMO) traffic on the channel.
