Bug#696054: kdepim-runtime: Shouldn't ship the nepomuk feeders

Re: Bug#669878: Could not perform immediate configuration on 'phonon-backend-vlc'
On Sun 16 Dec 2012 03:02:59 Petter Reinholdtsen escribió: [Samuel Thibault] See the previous upload. As the changelog says, the upload you mention is just a typo-fixing upload, there's no bug there. The previous upload was meant to fix #691160 by doing some renaming. I guess _that_ might have introduced a dependency loop, but I fail to see how that could go through phonon-backend-vlc. What is a way to determine the actual loop? I have no idea how to determine the actual loop, but according to URL: http://bugs.debian.org/655382 it is in libqt4-dbus. Apparently a loop make the apt resolving unstable, and a little change in input values can make it fail. And if that is the real problem, we will upload a fix as soon as we (well, the ia64 porters/buildds admins) can fix a FTBFS in ia64. Bug#696096: qt4-x11 ia64 FTBFS only on the buildds
Package: src:qt4-x11 Version: 4:4.8.2+dfsg-4 Severity: important Tags: moreinfo Lisandro Damián Nicanor Pérez Meyer perezme...@gmail.com wrote to debian-i...@lists.debian.org, i...@buildd.debian.org, pkg-kde-t...@lists.alioth.debian.org on Sat, 8 Dec 2012 21:33:30 -0300: Please keep pkg-kde-t...@lists.alioth.debian.org CCed, we are not subscribed to this lists. Thanks! Hi ia64 porters/buildd maintainers! I'm writing you because of the strange FTBFS we have for qt4-x11 [0], which are normally solved by doing a give-back until it builds :-/ . It's not the first time we see this, and as in other ocassions, we have accessed a porter machine (merulo.debian.org) to try to determine what's going on. Saddly all we could do is sucessfully build the packages. We could not reproduce the bug in any way :-( This last time Pino Toscano tried three times and one myself. You can get the compressed log from my build from [1]. I would like to know if there is something else we/you can try to solve this issue. Maybe it only triggers inside sbuild? This is the only issue that keeps some security fixes of Qt out of wheezy, and so it would be really great if we can find a way to solve this FTBFS. Machine: Dell PowerEdge 3250 Processor: 2x Itanium Madison 1.5GHz 6M Memory: 16G I suggest doing the following: - Please could you make a new dfsg version of the qt4-x11 package for unstable. Please apply both attached patches. - The patches won't fix the problem, but we'll get a more verbose error message when it fails next time on the buildd. The patch revert_ia64-remove-parallel.patch reverts the removal of the dh --parallel switch on ia64 which you have done with version 4:4.7.4-1 a year ago. The patch add-winvalid-pch.patch adds the -Winvalid-pch switch to any g++ and gcc invocation that uses a pch file. This should give us the reason why the compiler doesn't recognize the pch. This shouldn't have any side effect to the other archs than ia64. I'll watch out the buildd log of the next dfsg version of the package. Bug#664225: This one seems complicated.
According to the upstream bug, this issue is not reproducible in KDE 4.9.3. But neither the code of libgoogle-gadgets nor the plasma-google-gadgets code has changed between 4.8.3 (current Wheezy) and 4.9.3. The fix must be somewhere else, and maybe fixed by a rewrite or wrt another unrelated bug. Maybe this is a candidate for wheezy-ignore :-/ -- Lisandro Damián Nicanor Pérez Meyer http://perezmeyer.com.ar/ http://perezmeyer.blogspot.com/ signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

Bug#582953: kmail deleted all non-local incoming mail settings on upgrade
tags 582953 wheezy-ignore thanks As noted in message #55, this issue has been present since at least etch. It has seen no activity since September 2011, and it's never been reproduced except by someone reporting similar behavior on an unsupported filesystem (ZFS). I don't see any way that we would drop kmail from the wheezy release for this bug, or delay the wheezy release for it, and it's clear that no action is going to be taken on the bug if people can't reproduce it. Therefore, I'm marking this bug wheezy-ignore. Juha, I think this bug is never going to be fixed unless someone can give us a clear path to reproducing it. I think you're the person in a best position to do this. I don't want to close this bug or downgrade it since the symptoms describe do still qualify as grave, but without some more input from those affected, I just don't think it's realistic that it will get fixed. -- Steve Langasek Give me a lever long enough and a Free OS Debian Developer to set it on, and I can move the world. Bug#660963: My final word on the “restrict number of packages” issue
Dixi quod… My kde-workspace build is at 80% so I’ll likely follow up with another screenshot. So, enjoy kde-plasma-desktop with kdepim (and I’m only about three more source package builds, two of which have started, removed from having kde-standard installable). (FSVO enjoy; I personally am more fond of IceWM as seen in the previous snapshot. But people seem to like “desktop environments”.) The screenshot sits at https://herc.mirbsd.org/pub/kdepim68k.png for a while, since lists.d.o doesn’t seem to like big attachments. It’s unmodified from ksnapshot:m68k ☺ I disabled a few groupware folders since I ran kdepim against our Univention Kolab at work, to ensure privacy. And I was too lazy to reboot that box into the new Linux kernel which has finished compiling in the meantime, but another box has: root@moba:~ # uname -a Linux moba.mirbsd.org 3.2.0-4-atari #1 Debian 3.2.35-1 m68k GNU/Linux (It’s a cool idea to actually display the package version.) Cc to the bug where I request inclusion of my patch into qt4-x11 which made all that possible after Andreas Schwab saved us again. bye, //mirabilos PS: Most packages are arch:all anyway. We’re not going to fork Debian just so that dpkg eats less RAM. It’s fine right now. -- I want one of these. They cost 720 € though… good they don’t have the HD hole, which indicates 3½″ floppies with double capacity… still.
