The elite3d needs a microcode to work. in short: get solaris-patch 105791-33.tar.Z from sunsolve.sun.com extract afb.ucode from that archive install debian packages afbinit put the afb.ucode into /usr/lib sing the online petition at http://www.petitiononline.com/afbucode/ -- Jörg Friedrich There are only 10 types of people: Those who understand binary and those who don't. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around > http://mail.yahoo.com Just open the case and you will find space under the CD-ROM drive, including the mounting frame (if all is correct). To improve performance attache the second HD to the CD cable & the CD to the 'slave' connector. You do have to fiddle with mounts of the CD etc but when that's done the speed increase over the 'normal' master - slave configuration is worth it. Read - write commands do not have to wait for the other disk to finish. succes, casper -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Installation problems on Ultra30
Hi All, I have been trying to install 3.1 on an Ultra30; installation is ok, but when the moment of truth comes (reboot) it obstinately refuses to start the XServer. The graphic card is a Sun Elite3D, and I tried most of the suggested driver settings without success. Does anybody know the correct config settings for this card, connected to a 17in Sun monitor? Which machine as pbuilder?
Hello *, Since my Indigo and m68k are gone... I am developing some Programs which must run under all Debian supported architectures. I have installed a little network of pbuilder (m68k, i386, amd64, ia64, ppc, mips and sparc) and like to know, which machine is suitable for a private pbuilder? I am not ritch, so I am searching for a small used one. Also I have setup a public "pbuilder" where peoples can upload there sources via Webinterface and can test it on a selected architecture. But this Server is currently not online. I hope, I will get in the next two weeks a new internt connection @home. Oh yes, like you see in my signature, I am in Strasbourg and if you want to give up a small suitable machine (prefered 19") for this Network, please let me know. Debian on T2000?
Hi all!I hope this is the right mailinglist to ask if it is possible to install Debian Sarge on a Sun T2000 (https://www.sun.com/T2000), which currently is sporting Solaris. If so, is this installation of Sarge similar (maybe even completely congruent?) to installing on say, a x86? (Burning iso CD, booting from CD (how?), running installation)I have been in love with Debian for 2 years now and have the possibility to install Sarge on the Niagara machine, I just wish to know what I am getting myself into... I thank you in advance for any pointers or experience! All the best, Alexis

The reason that this new version of silo is not yet in the archive is that it has a regression. When I tested it on my Ultra 10, I noticed that it did not respect the timeout setting I have in my silo.conf. It just kept sitting there waiting for input. Jurij said yesterday on IRC that with the CD he created silo did not prompt for input at all, but just booted. That also is not correct behavior. I've sent a mail to Ben Collins about the first point, but there was no reply yet. Cheers, Frans Pop pgpQZ8pGEBNh0.pgp Description: PGP signature

[sparc32] esp driver
Hello, I'm trying to install etch on a SS20 using raid 1. I have built a 2.6.16.1 official kernel with built-in esp and raid 1 support. When I try to initialize /dev/md? partitions, kernel always returns : "esp0 resetting SCSI bus". Is there a workaround to fix this trouble ? The same SS20 works fine with a 2.4 kernel running on dual-SSII (but with a very bad HyperSPARC support) or with Solaris 9...
