Re: Solaris Binary Emulation

1999-06-22 Thread Kumsup Lee
Does anyone have an answer for this yet ?

Thanks,

 Hello everybody,

does anyone know, how to enable solaris binary emulation during kernel
 configuration, for
 32 bit sparcs ( Sparcstation 10)?

On 64 bit sparcs the kernel configuration tool asks for solaris binary
 emulation.

 Regards, Horst Wetzel.

Re: pseudo tty ssh

1999-05-24 Thread Kumsup Lee
Yes, I had same problem. I disable the UNIX98 ptys support in the 2.2.9 kernel.
Now, it is working as it should be. Is there any better way to fix this
problem ?

Thanks,

sunrise 4% uname -a
Linux sunrise 2.2.9 #10 SMP Fri May 21 17:58:48 CDT 1999 sparc unknown
sunrise 5% uptime
 10:34am up 2 days, 15:20, 1 user, load average: 0.05, 0.04, 0.04
sunrise 6%

I have Debian installed on a Sparc but I can't ssh in. Telnet'ing in
works fine, as do most other services. I receive the following error:

Warning: Remote host failed or refused to allocate a pseudo tty.

 (and then the login hangs)

I have UNIX98 ptys support in the kernel but I'm not totally sure if I
 want/have to use them.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

 TIA.

imake seg. fault on Slink/Sparc

1999-05-21 Thread Kumsup Lee
Hi There,

  I have a problem with imake. I am using Slink w/ 2.2.9 on SS10. I had same
problem w/ 2.2.0.

sunrise 112% xmkmf
mv -f Makefile Makefile.bak
imake -DUseInstalled -I/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/config
/usr/bin/X11/xmkmf: line 58: 16372 Segmentation fault imake $args
sunrise 113%

Any idea ?

Thanks,

P.S.) Why my fvwm doesn't work with 2.2.9 ? It works fine with 2.2.0.

Yes. Netscape 4.5 (X11), Linux 2.0 running X, on SPARC SLC. No problems
 at all.
