Have you tried to connect another CD/DVD player? I mean, another device,

Greetings,

Thank you for your answer.

There's no issue in the bug report. They say "if you get this problem,
open a new report". I'm gonna do it.

Unfortunately, I have no other cd/dvd player to try and this problem is
on a laptop.

Thank you and I'll let you know if I manage to fix the errors with my
bug report.

If somebody else or you have any ideas to update a package or a
configuration file, let me know! Because I think I have tried everything.

CD reader doesn't read audio CDs

2011-09-17 Thread Scurz

Hi,

I've done all the researches I could to find a solution but the CD/DVD
reader doesn't read my audio CDs (but it reads data CDs) since a while...

So, I get this kind of errors :

Nothing on the web has helped me to fix that !

My fstab :

/dev/sr0/media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,auto defaults 0 0

I've even tried different configurations...

Thank you for your help!

Yes. I think so.

The wireless key is a late-model. With a cable, the rate is perfect.

The 300 are in ko. (or = kb). But anyway, 11Mbps are different of the
300ko/s. How to remove the limit of the 300 ?

Wireless and the rate

2009-11-02 Thread Scurz
Hi,

My wireless key works almost fine. I just have a problem with the rate.
Here is the output from iwconfig :

wlan1 IEEE 802.11bg ESSID:"xx"
  Mode:Managed Frequency:2.457 GHz Access Point:
00:18:39:3A:21:4C
  Bit Rate=11 Mb/s Tx-Power=27 dBm
  Retry min limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
  Encryption key: Security mode:open
  Power Management:off
  Link Quality=63/70 Signal level=-47 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
  Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0x

The bit rate is at 11 Mb/s but I download all files at 300 ko/s, not
more. The rate seems to be limited.

What to do ? If I do "iwconfig wlan1 rate 54M", the connection freezes.

Regards
