The *easiest* way to extract a file or two from a .deb package is to use Midnight Commander (mc) or The Gnome file manager (GMC). With either of these you can just enter a Debian package as if it were a directory and manipulate files like you would if you were in a real directory, copying or viewing them very easily. -- Phillip Deackes Using Storm Linux 2000
