Bug#406864: status of the ttf-sil-andika ITP

2007-07-27 Thread Holger Levsen
Hi Nicolas,

On Tuesday 24 July 2007 22:33, you wrote:
Same here. I enjoyed Debconf a lot. Thanks for all the hard work.
Enjoyed being able to watch the video recordings too :)

Glad to hear :)

  - feedback period is complete (jan 31 2007) but the description or README
mentions it still... (minor, I would still sponsor it like this, but you
  should fix it :)

Yes, the feedback period is over, but it will still take a while for the
final font to be designed and released, so the current design reviews
are still very much worth uploading even thought they reflect are WIP.

I've added a note about this in the debian/control. No need to change
 the changelog entries in FONTLOG.txt.

Hm, ok. I thought about fixing README instead, but...

  - licence of the packaging? not mentioned in debian/copyright
Mmm, seems I've missed that. Fairly new it seems, haven't seen it as
such in maint-guide or most other font packages. Will add that. Thanks.

:-)

  - control/description mentions authors, debian/copyright doesnt
  - AndikaDevRev(A-G).ttf - are those different fonts or different
  revisions?
They have glyph variations. The differences are described on
 http://scripts.sil.org/Andika_technical

Maybe put that info into README (or somewhere else in the package) too?

The updated debian/ is committed the Alioth svn and the new source
 package is on: http://yosch.org/packages/debian

/me looks.

regards,
Holger

Description : A framework for logging, unittesting, and runtime
diagnostics

Diagnostics is a unified framework for code annotation, logging,
program monitoring, and unit-testing.

The annotations of diagnostics provide simple trace messages, tracing
method entry and exit, checks (which potentially fail), asserts (which
should never fail), invariance checking on method entry and exit, and
a number of annotations for testing.

The annotations raise events which are can be observed and monitored. Using
different loggers, the stream of logging events is used for logging or
testing.

* Package name: gtkrsync
  Version : 1.0.0
Upstream Author : John Goerzen [EMAIL PROTECTED]
* URL : http://hg.complete.org/gtkrsync
* License : GPL
  Programming Lang: Haskell
Description : GUI front-end to display rsync status
gtkrsync is a simple GUI that displays a running status display
built from rsync --progress -v. This status display includes a
per-file and overall status bar, overall estimated time to completion,
and an expandable button that shows all rsync status output.
 .
Unlike other GUI rsync frontends such as grsync, gtkrsync does not have
any GUI tools for configuring or invoking rsync. gtkrsync is designed
to be invoked from the command line or shell scripts, which already
specify all the needed rsync options. It is thus ideal for scripted
rsync runs that need a GUI, or for command-line users that would like a
GUI to monitor their rsync progress.
 .
This package provides two binaries. gtkrsync is a drop-in replacement
for rsync. It fires up the GUI and invokes rsync, passing all args to
it. When invoked this way, gtkrsync is able to detect if rsync exits
in error and alerts the user. gtkrsync can also monitor both stdout
and stderr from rsync, and displays both. The cancel button in
gtkrsync also will kill off the rsync process.
 .
The other binary is gtkrsyncp. This program accepts the output of
rsync --progress -v on standard input and displays it in a GUI. It
cannot detect whether rsync exited in error and cannot kill rsync when
Cancel is pressed. However, this program may be useful in some cases
when direct control of rsync is handled elsewhere.

XIST is an extensible HTML/XML generator written in Python.
XIST is also a DOM parser (built on top of SAX2) with a very
simple and pythonesque tree API. Every XML element type
corresponds to a Python class and these Python classes provide a
conversion method to transform the XML tree (e.g. into HTML).

Description : beaver -- A light weight graphical tabbed editor (GTK 1.x)
Beaver is a text editor that is lightweight but full of features for
programming from web authoring to C programming. It is based on the
GTK+ toolkit, supports tons of languages through config files
(compatible with UltraEdit 'wordfile.txt') and offers functions such
as automatic indentation, correction and completion, or syntax
 highlighting.

Beaver is known to use very little memory compared to any

Personally I would find them very useful!
Yes, there is.

However, I'm a bit short on time to work on it ATM. I still have
to package with the core libs build statically.

AFAIK parts of VXL are also included in the insighttoolkit (ITK) package
that recently entered the archive.

Cheers,

Michael
