This java program is based on the Phyml program (for maximum likelihood calculations and optimization of parameters) and uses the PAL library as well. Models included are empirical substitution matrices (such as WAG, LG, mtREV, Dayhoff, DCMut, JTT, VT, Blosum62, CpREV, RtREV, MtMam, MtArt, HIVb, and HIVw) that indicate relative rates of amino acid replacement, and specific improvements (+I:invariable sites, +G: rate heterogeneity among sites, +F: observed amino acid frequencies) to account for the evolutionary constraints impossed by conservation of protein structure and function. ProtTest uses the Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) and other statistics (AICc and BIC) to find which of the candidate models best fits the data at hand. Bug#636272: restund in debian
Hi, please open an RFS bug if you want to find a sponsor. Anyway, I looked at the package. the packaging rules file is really hacky, but looks good! I would appreciate a more sane upstream packaging system, but your workaround looks really nice ;) do you mind opening an RFS bug? cheers, G. Anything that appears sub-optimal is something I want to learn about. As you can see, the build system is ad-hoc, which is always a challenge for shared libraries. I'm not certain the way the soname, symbol list, and everything around the shared library part is kosher. A temporary git repository for the packaging exists. I plan to move this to alioth before proper upload to Debian, hoping to make this a pkg-voip team maintained package. https://github.com/jas4711/libre-dpkg /Simon

Yeah, upstream's custom make script aren't the simplest for packaging, but at least they aren't complex to understand. I'm a DD so I will upload it when I feel comfortable with the packaging. /Simon > > do you mind opening an RFS bug? > > cheers, > > G. > > > > > > Il Martedì 27 Ottobre 2015 0:54, Simon Josefssonha > scritto: > I have prepared a Debian package for the latest 0.4.14 release of > "libre", and have uploaded it to Debian Mentors: > > http://mentors.debian.net/package/libre > > For reference, upstream homepage and ITP bug links: > > https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=636272 > http://www.creytiv.com/re.html > > Please review the package, I want it to be in perfect condition! > Anything that appears sub-optimal is something I want to learn about. > > As you can see, the build system is ad-hoc, which is always a challenge > for shared libraries. The uncompressed size of these catalogs upstream ranges from 129 kBytes (1000 stars) to ~15 GB (200 million stars), with roughly doubling the number of stars with each step. Since it is not useful to put flood the Debian archive with Milky Way stars, I started a discussion on debian-devel [1]. However, until there is a good solution, I would package a subset (total ~120 MB), which overs about 3 million stars. I still have no idea about the best way to split it into subpackages; probably I would combine the smallest catalogs into one 8 MB package, and then have one larger catalog per package (8 MB, 15 MB, 30 MB, 60 MB). In addition, there is provision for other characters and symbols useful to linguists. . The Charis SIL font contains near-complete coverage of all the characters defined in Unicode 7.0 for Latin and Cyrillic. In total, over 3,600 glyphs are included, providing support for over 2,300 characters as well as a large number of ligated character sequences (e.g., contour tone letters used in phonetic transcription of tonal languages). Four fonts from this typeface family are included in this release: * Charis SIL Compact Regular * Charis SIL Compact Bold * Charis SIL Compact Italic * Charis SIL Compact Bold Italic . Charis SIL is a TrueType font with "smart font" capabilities added using the Graphite, OpenType(r), and AAT font technologies. This means that complex typographic issues such as formation of ligatures or automatic positioning of diacritics relative to base characters in arbitrary base+diacritic combinations (including combinations involving multiple diacritics) are handled by the font. In addition, alternately-designed glyphs are also provided for a number of characters for use in particular contexts. These capabilities are only available if you are running an application that provides an adequate level of support for one of these smart font technologies. This is the compact version with tighter line spacing. --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- Source: fonts-sil-charis-compact Source-Version: 5.000-1 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of fonts-sil-charis-compact, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive. It was designed to access RDF within Template Toolkit but the module does not depend on that and can be used independently. Basically, an instance of RDF::Lazy contains an unlabeled RDF graph and a set of namespace prefixes. For lazy access and graph traversal, each RDF node (RDF::Lazy::Node) is tied to the graph. . Bug#802513: Would you consider to run cme to fix d/control
Hi Jerome, since I noticed that Vcs-Browser had an old format (lintian would have informed about this) I was running cme fix dpkg-control which resulted in several changes. I would prefer to apply these changes but the diff is a bit to much for me to upload it without your consensus. So please consider fixing at least Vcs-Browser - or simply start with the habit to let config model editor care for a consistent formatting. :-) Kind regards Andreas. -- http://fam-tille.de

I guess there are many which would be happy to do so better sooner than later. Anyway ... I loved the idea having a copy at github, so everybody can fork the package(s) and with less work contribute back via PR. Handling patches via Mail is a bit ugly these days. Thanks for working on those packages.
