  Programming Lang: Python
Description : editor for Crystallographic Information Format

Finalcif is a full-featured CIF file editor to make editing and
validation of CIF files easy. It collects all the information from a
work folder needed in order to finalize a CIF file for publication. In
any case, you can also import a valid CIF file to complete the
information. In ideal cases, it takes one click to have a
publication-ready file. But check the file thoroughly afterwards, no
software is perfect!

Essentially, you should have the corresponding CIF file for FinalCif in
its original 'work' folder, which contains all other files such as SAINT
list files, SADABS list file, SHELX list files, etc. that led to this
CIF file.

Checking your final CIF file with the IUCr CheckCIF server is a
one-click problem in FinalCif. You get a web and PDF report or just a
local PLATON CIF check for computers without internet.

FinalCif generates beautiful CIF reports in seconds for your publication
as MS Word files (also compatible with Openoffice etc.). The report
includes tables of structure properties like R-values or atom parameters
and a report text about the experiment conditions.

The button "save cif file" saves the current file under
'name'-finalcif.cif. FinalCif will never make changes to the original
CIF file.

FinalCif is a nice GUI to edit, validate and deposit CIF files. I am
planning to team-maintain it in DebiChem Team.

Small add-on for the python requests http library. Makes use twisted's
ThreadPool, so that the requests'API returns deferred objects.

This is a dependency of buildbot. Required to update to 3.4.1 and later.

I intend on maintaining this package in the context of the Debian Python
Team. I will need a sponsor for uploads after pushing on Salsa.

Thanks!

Description : utilities for PDBx/mmCIF storage model

This package presents Python interface to basic mmCIF functionality.
Essentially it is a simplification of py-mmcif package (seems unpackaged
yet). However, API compatibility with py-mmcif is not maintained, thus
both will eventually have to be packaged.

To be maintained in Debian Python Team.

Description : Rime Input Method Engine schema data - Loengfan

RIME is the acronym of Rime Input Method Engine.
 .
RIME is a lightweight, extensible input method engine supporting various
input
schemas including glyph-based input methods, romanization-based input methods
as well as those for Chinese dialects. It has the ability to compose phrases
and sentences intelligently and provide very accurate traditional Chinese
output. RIME's cross-platform core library is written in C++, and can work
consistently on different platforms with OS-specific wrappers.
 .
This package provides the Loengfan (粵語兩分) schema data of RIME.
It is the Cantonese version of Liang Fen input method.

I plan to maintain this package under Debian Input Method Team:
https://salsa.debian.org/input-method-team/rime-loengfan .

* Package name: librist

Description : Reliable Internet Stream Transport for reliable
transmission of video over lossy networks

Reliable Internet Stream Transport (RIST) is a transport protocol
designed for reliable transmission of video over lossy networks
(including the Internet) with low latency and high quality.
.
RIST is intended as a more reliable successor to Secure Reliable
Transport (SRT), and as an open alternative to proprietary commercial
options such as Zixi, VideoFlow, QVidium, and DVEO (Dozer).

The second paragraph also describes my motivation for packaging this,
with my newly-acquired SRT maintainer hat on. Further information about
RIST (and most of the description above) can be found at
, and
further language wrappers and application integration can be found at
.

FFmpeg as present in Bookworm or newer already allows building against
librist, hence a heads-up to the Debian Multimedia Maintainers. I will
send a patch for evaluating librist linking once the package hits the
archives.

Cheers,
Flo

Description : Erase the LUKS keys with a special password on the unlock
prompt

Installing this package lets you configure a special "nuke password" that
can be used to destroy the encryption keys required to unlock the encrypted
partitions. This password can be entered in the usual early-boot prompt
asking the passphrase to unlock the encrypted partition(s).

This provides a relatively stealth way to make your data unreadable in
case you fear that your computer is going to be seized.

After installation, use “dpkg-reconfigure cryptsetup-nuke-password” to
configure your nuke password.

I intend to maintain this package under the pkg-security umbrella so it's easy
to co-maintain.

Kind regards
 Jonas
