Bug#1029032: Package (almost) ready
HI László, Apologies, I was busy on other topics and I had gotten some initial comments on the packaging too (d/copyright needing tweaks). I can't upload and would appreciate sponsoring. I've updated the packaging in the git repository: https://salsa.debian.org/adrien-n/python-google-api-core/-/tree/sid?ref_type=heads I've updated d/copyright and the packaging is lintian-clean. Julian has also tested the package and confirmed it working with new python-googleapi versions. Thanks, -- Adrien

Hi, I hadn't spotted your ITP until I had prepared https://salsa.debian.org/adrien-n/python-google-api-core and was filling an ITP myself. Since it's ready and passing, I'd like to more forward with this. Do you have any objection? Thanks, -- Adrien

Bug#942249: ITP: inkscape-ext-textext -- Re-editable LaTeX graphics for Inkscape
Hi, It seems to work fine in inkscape, many thanks for your work! I just notice one thing: you may have forgot a dependency on python3-lxml. I'm glad someone is finding use for this. I updated the packaging in [1]. Notice the change in package name to inkscape-textext, which more closely matches other inkscape extension packages. It "works" in the sense that it compiles, installs, and creates basic objects in inkscape, but I haven't tested the packaging (or the actual extension) beyond that. I'd appreciate any feedback you have while testing and using it. I'll try to get around to uploading to debian-mentors again and asking for a sponsor in the near-ish future. Bug#942249: ITP: inkscape-ext-textext -- Re-editable LaTeX graphics for Inkscape
Hi, Thank your for your package of TexText. I successfully compile your package for Buster, for a user of our laboratory, but failed to use it. Upstream developpers released a new version recently (1.0.1), do you intend to package it ? It can solve the bugs I encountered. Hi, I see that you send the KeepassXC browser's extension into the NEW queue in january, but it still doesn't appears on Debian! Is it blocked somewhere ? Bug#900531: ITP: tinyjsd -- Lightweight JavaScript Debugger for Thunderbird and Firefox
Le 01/06/2018 à 00:14, Daniel Kahn Gillmor a écrit : TinyJSD is a JavaScript debugger for Mozilla products (Firefox, Thunderbird, SeaMonkey). If I go to the official addon page (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tiny-javascript-debugger/), it says that it is not compatible for Firefox Quantum (>=57). So I guess that you need at list Firefox Developer Edition, with the old extensions system enabled. But, as far as I remember, the only available Firefox in Debian is the regular one. However, on the version page (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tiny-javascript-debugger/versions/), there is a version for Thunderbird. So maybe the description should mention the fact that it is currently working only on Thunderbird for Debian version. Adrien
Bug#395573: RFP: visit -- interactive parallel visualization and graphical analysis tool
Hi, I finally got through the compilation's errors. So if you take my repo, you should be able to build into sbuild a deb package for visit. It does build with python2 and Qt5. Be careful, it doesn't respect the Debian way at all : The FHS is not respected and some libraries are bundle in it (gfortran, etc.). I have build only one big .deb, but it may be split (python-visit, visit-dev, etc.). I also had to disable some functionalities in visit (HDF5, Silo, GDAL), BoxLib, as it triggers some compilation's errors. It is sufficient for our internal needs, so I won't invest more time in it. But if anyone wants to bring visit into Debian, feel free to use my work, it could be a start. Kind regards, Adrien -- Adrien Grellier (02 40 37 15 55) Informaticien du LHEEA CNRS – École Centrale de Nantes
Bug#395573: Building Visit for Debian
Hi, I am interested to have visit for Debian Stretch. So I took the work you've done and tried to compile visit 2.12.3 on Debian Stretch. My work is here, feel free to use it: https://github.com/LHEEA/debian-visit Cmake now configure correctly the package, but I got compilations errors, which should be solved according to visit's wiki: https://www.visitusers.org/index.php?title=VTK_6.3_Upgrade Unfortunately I will not have time to finish the packaging… So if anyone have time to continue the work to have a proper package which compiles, please contribute… My patches are also quite dirty, sorry for that.
